Early on Dak was said to be too careful with the ball. The critics said his lack of aggressiveness in his pass game was a liability. They even said that they would rather live with the inevitable increase in turnovers if it meant opening the offense up. Now that it's happening it's a problem.
I highly doubt those critics you speak of meant "Be more reckless with the football and throw a bunch of INTS in the name of being aggressive".

There's smart aggressive and dumb aggressive.

Dak himself says "I need to be more careful and better". Are you calling him a liar?

Why do you only care about the regular season?

Dak is the starting QB for this team and the goal should always be playoff wins.

Dallas Prescott fans don't care about playoffs?
Oh no I do. I am just pointing out that when he beats good teams in the regular season (the old bar) now its not good enough and the goal posts move. Again. I will say it since you refuse to hear me. IF Dak and the Cowboys get bounced in the first round again. We need to look for his replacement. We both agree this FO wont do it though so. Its arguing a moot point.

I'm sure the haters will have some way of explaining this away, despite the fact that it's hard to score 24 or more points for 7 straight weeks - as proven by the fact that no one has done it during this stretch - but somehow the only person to do it is.... Dak Prescott.

But we'll hear:

"his defense helped him out" ............. Everybody gets a few breaks in this league, but overall the facts and numbers can't be ignored.

"he's thrown more picks than had game played"........... I don't care. I just like points scored. The only thing that matters in the end.
Oh yay!! another thread started to get on the nerves of the other side. The haters get mad at the homers and the homers get mad at the haters. When you posted this did you actually look at the running game stats? Or do you think that Dak is the sole reason for this?

He does need to be careful I agree. He needs to get the ball into the hands of our best players and that happens to be Zeke and Tony. Does any of this aggressiveness involve play calling? Or is dak just audibling out of every run play?

If anyone thinks that this trend has anything to do with Dak and not the emergence of the running game and the defense playing well then you are wearing your Dak coloured glasses again.

I'm not saying Rush. Nobody thinks Rush is the answer.

I'm saying somebody that is not even on the radar right now.

If by the end of Dak's current contract we've not made it past the divisional round would you want to move on?

There is no goal post shifting. The goal post for me is always post season success.
That has been my status since Prescott signed the contract. NFCC game in 3-4 years all else is failure for Franchise QB.

I just can't understand the Double Standard and Goalpost Shifting when it comes to Dakota Prescott...gives you stats (Empty/Garbage Stats) gives you wins (every INT is the worst ever):lmao2:

Steve Young calls it PTSD:facepalm:

Booger Calls the Dak Hate out on National TV

That is what we just don't know.

We don't know if it's the play calling or Dak audibling.

There is no double standard from me.

If Rush was the QB I would expect the same thing.

I expected the same thing from Romo, Carter, Hutchinson, Leaf, and anyone else that was our QB.

The goalpost for me with any QB for the Dallas Cowboys is postseason success.

Its a shame when Booger has to be the voice of reason. Glad someone finally called it out. Its really disgusting and i'm not buying its just because "he's a Cowboy".

The running game wasn't doing well with Rush? Or the Defense? Y'all sound crazy lol.

Multiple times Sanchez called out that Dak was checking INTO runs. The only thing you have ever found about Dak checking out of runs was in the Tampa bay game from 2021 when he arguably had his best passing game as a professional. So if he is checking out of runs and having success who is to blame? Honest question. Because if he is checking out of runs and having success thru the air that would lend a hand to the fact he actually CAN read a defense. Which is something he apparently cant do.

The defense was playing well with Rush, but the run game has been much better with Dak because Pollard has been featured more and he's the better RB.

Rush had to suffer Zeke being the guy.

Pollard got less than 10 carries in 3 of the 5 games with Rush.

He's not gotten less than 10 in the 7 games since Dak has been back.

So what are you saying???

Romo got an awful lot of hate too. Had Danny White been around during the current times, he'd have gotten the same. Stop making more of something that isn't there.

You have 1 game from Mark Sanchez (an announcer) while I have 1 game from the actual OC of the team.

I think I'll take the OC's word for it.

Sanchez was saying words with R means right and L means left. I don't recall him saying Dak was changing into run plays, just the direction in which the play was going.

I have multiple instances of actually NFL guys and ex players saying Dak was checking into runs pre snap. And again. You are missing the point. He checked out of multiple run plays for this best career game as a passer. Or did he not? Also. Sanchez played for the Cowboys. In Dak's rookie year. And considering the system is the same I would put him and Moore on the same level.

He's getting more carries because he's getting more touches. The Cowboys get far more possession a game than when they had Cooper. The Cowboys didn't just up and change their stance on Pollard lol. He and Zeke were always a tandem and still a tandem. The team overall is playing better with Dak. Maybe its coincidence. Maybe its not.
