Meh the college game is fine. This is just a down year. I mean even just look at 2015.

Last year there were a tremendous amount of "great teams."

You had:

12 Win Patriots
12 Win Broncos
11 Win Chiefs
12 Win Bengals
13 Win Cardinals
11 Win Vikings
14 Win Panthers

And that's before you get to teams like the 10 win Packers, Seahawks and Steelers (Jets also had 10 wins but they didn't seem very impressive).

This year how many teams do you think match those? Cowboys? Seahawks? Patriots? Chiefs? Raiders? And scene?
Yeah, good point. The NFL is weird.

I don't think i've ever said we don't have a highly effective offense. In fact let me tell you unequivocally that I think we have a highly effective offense.
You can only beat the teams on the schedule, and by that metric, Dallas leads the league in wins vs. winning teams...4-1, Seattle 3-1. One way or another, THAT, coupled with their so far unblemished 6-0 road record, says a ton about the team's internal fortitude and symbiosis. Are they pass rush deficient? You bet your azz...and they must hope that the improved play of the secondary eventually causes more INTs like the one that was unfortunately nullified against Minnesota. It is what it is at this point. I'm sure Minnesota, Seattle and New York wish they had better o-lines, but they only have what they have...and have to make the most of it. I just don't see what team should particularly perturb Dallas with homefield advantage. Giants minus JPP, Seattle minus Earl Thomas, New England minus Gronkowski...all "major" losses that will have an impact on the ability of those three teams to pull off wins in the future.

The league is definitely watered down this year. Carolina, GB, and Arizona were thought to be strong but aren't. Even Seattle, Denver, and NE aren't as strong as we thought. It is definitely a good year to come out of nowhere and find yourself at 11-1 and in line for HFA.

If we win the Super Bowl some people will want to place a (*) next to it to denote "The NFL sucked that year. Not that big an accomplishment at all, really."

Some people? More like anyone who isn't a Cowboys fan. I frequent Eagles forums and everyone on there has already started making excuses for why the Cowboys have been winning, namely because it's widely agreed that this is one of the least competitive years since the 2002 NFL expansion.

But frankly, I don't care. History doesn't put asterisks on SB victories.

Just because there is less parity in a year doesnt make the best team better on a year to year basis. This is the faulty logic that you spew on this board in the guise of common sense. Its not common sense, your stats don't measure anything but parity.

There were also ALOT more sucky records in 2015.

Weaksauce.

Misleading stat when we have 11 wins overall. Of the "winning" teams we beat Washington is unlikely to make the playoffs and one of Pitt and Baltimore almost certainly won't make the playoffs.
You realize the reason Washington is unlikely to make the playoffs is because of our wins against them, right? Without those losses they are at a .667 winning percentage, which is playoff-caliber, often division-winning.

I don't know what world you live in but mine isn't black or white. I love this team and appreciate what it is. That doesn't mean I have to gloss over all negatives and just ride the wave. We've had a weak schedule and taken advantage of it. No shame in that.
All the negatives? When you are 11-1 there is only 1 negative, that loss. All the other things you are trying to argue for or against are noise. Unless you can magically transform the space time continuum and allow this current Dallas team to simultaneously play every previous Cowboy schedule in its history, then arguing about who was better when where what year, etc. etc. etc is ALL NOISE. You don't know. Saying you do doesn't make it true. It just makes it silly.

Either way, we can rub it in people's faces that we have six rings, using the middle finger as #6.

That will change after tonight's game.

There are currently 14 teams with better than a .500 record. Here are the number of wins each of them has against the other 13.

Cowboys 4 (Was 2, Pit, Bal)
Raiders 3 (Bal, TB, Den)
Chiefs 3 (Oak, Den, Atl)
Seahawks 3 (Mia, Atl, NE)
Steelers 3 (Was, KC, NYG)
Falcons 3 (Oak, Den, TB)
Bucs 3 (Atl, KC, Sea)
Patriots 2 (Mia, Pit)
Giants 2 (Dal, Bal)
Ravens 2 (Pit,Mia)
Commanders 2 (NYG, Bal)
Broncos 1 (TB)
Lions 1 (Was)
Dolphins 1 (Pit)
lol. Doesnt really play into the "next game is the REAL test" narrative at all. Thanks for doing the research.

This. And most (reading: all) will be Zoners. We have a huge amount of respect across all the other fan bases. Naturally, we will be hardest on our team, I need to constantly remind myself of this.

Most of the posters here who **** on our team live in a bubble of 2 decades of rue.

Go to r/NFL for a true voice of the league, Titleist. They are objective and fair there (the main board, don't mess with the subforums, sorry @itsaboat :)).
