This shouldn't come as a surprise. Since 2011 they have ranked dead last in INT's.

Since 2000 they are ranked 2nd to last. However, last place is the Texans,an expansion team in 2002.

I have analyzed Super Bowl champions for those traits that are most similar among them and I have discovered two. They apply to most recent champions though not all of them. However, exceptions are rare.

First of all, most teams have a prolific scoring offense. That makes sense, you have to score more than the other guys to be successful,

The second trait is defensive but a Super Bowl team doesn't necessarily have to be a shutdown defense when it comes to yardage or scoring. The majority of the Super Bowl teams are ranked very highly in takeaways. They do an excellent job of halting opponent drives while giving their offense extra drives in very favorable field position.

If the Cowboys are ever to become serious contenders, they will have to find a way to reverse their inability to create interceptions.

We could certainly use a modern day version of Thurman's Thieves.

IIRC Heath should of had 1 or 2 so far.

1 for sure against the Panthers in the redzone. Forget the other team where he caught it but landed out of bounds. Giants?

This is all Kris Richard's fault!

He is not putting his safeties in a position to succeed.

And with as bad as our offense is this stat will define the season. Pathetic

I only remember ever feeling good about interceptions with this franchise when Anthony Henry was first signed and went off with like 4 interceptions in his first three games or something

What can u expect. We have the worst Safety Group in the League by a margin and have unexperienced Corners who were never Ballhawks in College.

Its one of the things Cowboys dont value for some reason just as a nice run stuffing 1 Tech. They dont value that. They think they can plug and Play guys like Jeff Heath or Nick Hayden.

I got tired of wishing for more interceptions. Was told they would come with increased QB pressure, but still waiting for them to arrive. Right now I am just happy we aren't playing 10 yards off and giving up easy pitch and catch receptions to the other team.

Well we have Jeff hit-that-mofo Heath in our lineup.

You guys see how fast Detroit passed its self down field for a TD....our defense is still very young and some of u need to chill on the hot boys dance.....there is still much room for growth ....MUCH ROOM....

It really is amazing. We have had multiple defensive coordinators, a complete turnover of players multiple times, high picks invested in the defense and still we cannot generate turnovers.

It is absolutely amazing. I suppose the only explanation is the lack of investment in the safety position...but we should still be able to get turnovers.

He’s a classic ball hawk. I remember him breaking the rookie record for interceptions:. I liked Henry. He was just slow. Always felt he could’ve been an easy transition to safety. Him and Aaron Glenn were our best best ball hawks

What? We didnt invest anything in the Backfield for Ages. We invested in the D-Line and LB Corps but not Backfield. The only guy that is playing well is Byron Jones who was drafted 1st Round but was never and will never be a Ballhawk.

The rest of the Backfield consists of mid-to low round picks and undrafted guys.

We went cheap in the Backfield and pay for it.

until this defense starts getting picks and more turnovers they are just average like the rest of the team

Yeah I hate the fact that we can never seem to pick off opposing QB’s. We are however 1st or 2nd in sacking opposing QB’s. Take the good with the bad in some cases.
