Cowboys Over-Performed?

So over a span of 10 years, it's been everybody's fault but Garrett's, despite the fact that he's had a chance to overturn the whole roster, including coaching on both offense and defense.

Technically it’s been “execution’s” fault.

Not sure why we haven’t fired execution yet. He’s a bad coach.

There's no skirting you can't read, I said they weren't suppose to win according to the article, my whole argument was based on what the article said. Read a little better

So now you are talking about the article and what it said? The problem is the article didn’t say what you claim it did.

It’s not that I can’t read. You just make really inconsistent arguments.

Except you don’t really post like that. You are quick to get on people for not giving Garrett his due after wins but when someone points out the flaws in a loss, you are quick to blame the players or execution.

And by the way, at the end of the day, the HC is responsible for execution. Hence why the better teams with better coaches execute mkre consistently than mediocre and bad teams.

Unless you think it’s just dumb luck.

No, execution is a by product of the players, if Jason Witten false starts, that's execution. It's not on the coach, if Tyrone Williams gets beat by his man thats execution and not on the coa h. If a player blows a blocking assignment in game that has been practiced all week, that's on the player not the coach, if Zeke hits the wrong hole, that's on Zeke, if Dak throws an int, that's execution andx on Dak, if he fumbles that's on Dak not the coach. I could go on and on.

So for 9 seasons we’ve just had bad or dumb players?

Whose fault is it when we run a play and the defense recognizes the play based on formation, personnel, etc? For example whose fault was it against GB when Dak has his WR screen intercepted and after the game Hyde said they knew the play was coming because they ran the same play with the same formation, same formation with similar motion, earlier in the year against them?

No YOU can't read. It clearly said what I argued in the article. You just can't keep up. Because nothing you said is what I said.

I am big and strong that’s for sure. It was you who fired the first shot. Btw it’s “yours”. If you are going to cuss at me get it right. Sad thing is I think you and I are in the same page with Jerry. Go get yourself a Snickers.
I certainly don’t see anything in my initial response resembling a personal insult in the manner you responded.

Yah yah we saw the predictions from 2018, 8-8, 7-9 for most. Something happened on the way to the ball game though, some of the teams weren't nearly as good as their 2017 record. Case in point Atlanta, Jagoffs and Iggles. There's 4 wins right there that most would have said 1-3. Why because we over-achieved? No because the under performed from the previous year

See you can sit here today and predict what the Cowboys will be in 2019 because we know the team will be pretty much what it is, what you can't predict is what the 16 teams will be that we play due to FA, personnel changes, coaching changes. Fortunately the game is played on the field not on paper. Still, nearly 70% of ALL teams who go 10-6 fall off the next year in the FA era. FA matters guys

Amari Cooper changed this season.
You might say that.

2017
Bryant 52% 829 yd 6.4 ypa 6 td 5 int 71.6
everyone else 66% 2468 yd 6.8 ypa 16 td 8 int 91.3

2018
Cooper 70% 725 yd 9.5 ypa 6 td 2 int 115.2
everyone else 67% 3146 yd 7.0 ypa 16 td 6 int 93.7

Lol...are you really this naive or are you being ridiculous again. It's called the defense gets paid to execute too, it's called doing your homework, it's what all teams do, all teams know what is coming. It's no different than hearing our players saying " they did nothing different than what we saw on film we just gotta execute better" you've heard Sean Lee, Romo, Zack Martin say that a million times.

And I wouldn't call the players dumb, I'd say we haven't picked the right players until the last 3-4 years we've begun to draft better at the most important positions and building a roster with good young talent. That hadn't been the case .

No YOU can't read. It clearly said what I argued in the article. You just can't keep up. Because nothing you said is what I said.

It clearly didn’t say at all what you argued.

You are claiming the team won more games than they should have and that credit should be given to Garrett.

Except that’s not what the article said at all.

LOL.

You realize that’s basically a sports cliche right? That we have to execute better.

So basically in your world head coaching really has no bearing on the outcome of games.

Sure you do. In your condescending way you called me a liar. Being called a liar is not something I take lightly. Fit my narrative? Get the heck out of here with that.

Remember I am big and strong so don’t mess with me.

Fitting a narrative isn’t lying. It’s simply spinning facts to support an opinion. You do understand what a narrative is?

I am big, strong, and smart so yes I know exactly what you mean. I am also finding it difficult to be nice. Good luck.

They tried with Sammy Watkins. Thank God that didn't work out.

Then picked Vander Esch over Ridley. Right choice.

This year they drafted Amari Cooper.

Lucky and good.

Agreed. They corrected their mistake.

BASED ON THE ARTICLE SAYING THEY WERE LUCKY TO WIN 10 GAMES BECAUSE OF HOW THEY PLAYED. What don't you get. Again, I said the article was b's, but for the article's "lucky" assessments, he should get credit. Like I said earlier . Read better

No it isn't a basic cliche, film dont lie . A cliche is a Coach saying it's all on him.
