Bosa topped the edge-rushers, which isn't a shock after he led the NFL with 18.5 sacks last season, his second straight season with 15 or more sacks.

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett came in at No. 2, followed by Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons at No. 3.

"It wouldn't surprise me if he's No. 1 by next year," one NFL coordinator told Fowler regarding Parsons. "His talent is undeniable."

Lot's of luck on that one...The offensive line coach needs to stay on the officials and report it up when it occurs. They should have plenty of pictures on hand to show an official.
Perhaps they can edit the Star off of Micah’s helmet before showing them…..it has an affect on the zebras.

There is also the Player's Association who love to take to court player's rights and protections.

As much as i believe in MP, gotta be under. Teams are accounting for him on every play and then you add the holding calls that aren't called by the "refs" ... and he will probably be in the 12-14 range. The sacks on the team will be more distributed among DLaw, Sam, Armstrong, Fowler and not mainly on MP's back. His presence helps those other guys. So it ain't a terrible thing if he is under.

With our strong DTs the DEs will reak havoc
How many snaps will Parsons get at DE is the question.
Too many ways to use the kid.

Under.
He's not going to be used exclusively as an end rusher. He'll play linebacker at times, which will limit the chances he gets to pursue the quarterback.
Then, he'll be double team, which will free up Sam Williams, whom I expect to get about nine sacks this season. Parsons will be on load management this year. We will need him fresh for the stretch run to the Super Bowl.
That will mean fewer sacks but greater durability.
I'll say he reaches 14.
He's not going to play so much linebacker that he's going to get significantly fewer pass rushes.

Did I use the word "significantly"?
Anytime he plays the traditional linebacker role, he's not rushing the passer, ergo, fewer attempts at sacking the quarterback.

Which is going to be so little that it's not going to matter. We're talking about fewer than 10 snaps on the year where he doesn't rush in a passing situation.

This is, "Fake News". Parson was not number 3, (number 2 in NFCE) he was number 7. Bosa, 18.5, Reddick & Garrett 16, Jones & Judon 15.5, Highsmith 14.5, Parson 13.5

Under for me , he will make all other rushers better , but teams will put more people on him to protect their QBs .
I'm with you, I think old CC music factory just keeps picking on Parsons. his passive aggression is ridiculous...

Parsons did not tail off at the end of last season, he got injured, he got a little beat up, he was double and triple teamed at times, he's moving all over the line he is not to be put up against regular full time defensive end stats..

that said he's had one of the best starts in NFL history for production for his first two years and he is more than just sacks,

C can't see that but that's OK we get it he's being a hater he's being a troll he's using shock value he's upping his post numbers he just keeps talking about Parsons as if there isn't any other players that need to be talked about on the team better underperforming and need a better season this year like tober and Gallup and even be oddish and there's many others I can think of 10 players off the top of my head that need to improve their game and Parsons doesn't even sniff the top 10.

I'll take this version of Parsons the rest of his career if he gets us double digit sacks and improves everybody else on the field which he already has, I'll take it..

Is there anybody in the NFL more primed for a massive season than Micah Parsons? The young superstar seems like he is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential. The anticipation for his 2023 campaign is something not only Cowboys fans are feeling, but so are many others around the league.

In Parsons’ first two seasons, he has fully entrenched himself as a gigantic star in the NFL and an absolutely vital piece to the Cowboys defense, now and in the future. Soon we will be talking about the massive contract he will command, but in the meantime let’s take a look at his impressive production in his first two years and discuss what may be possible in year three.

Parsons finished his rookie season with a sack total of 13 and upped that by a half sack in 2022 when he finished with 13.5. While those numbers are impressive, especially for a guy who was asked to do so many other things than to just pass rush, some feel that Parsons tailed off towards the end of the year as he got worn down and the attrition of the season got to him a bit. Parsons has vowed to put on more weight to help him in the trenches as he looks to tally more pass rush reps in 2023.

under for me. if we learned anything last year, we have to pace Parsons a bit as he was gassed out by the end of the year and not effective. its being ready in the last part of the season and playoffs which is more important than piling on sacks early in the season. we are going to have to platoon DEs and unleash parsons in critical downs and situations.

Under. Just that 16 sacks is a lot anymore. He may push that and certainly is capable, but I still say under.
12 to 15 range is a safe bet.

However because of his pass rush, he can allow others to be freed up to get sacks as well. Or his amount of pressures. All that is just as important, if it leads to turnovers, rather a fumble or INT, or an errant pass, forced to throw out of bounds. Therefore creating a punting situation or FG instead of a 1st down and eventual TD.

I'll take the under for Parsons, but the unit as a whole will feast. Micah will be drawing extra attention, but there is not enough blockers to stop him and DLaw or Sam Williams.

oooops, get into the ball park before becoming a critic. Or just read the post. that was a prediction of ranking for the 2023 season for discussion. You merely add a statistical list and present it without even discussing implications from a past table of stats.

That level now is four of five defensive plays through a game's rotations. Rotations will already be increasing from the start.
