I thought he kept his cool and was being very accurate with those throws. He is putting the ball out there and hitting guys in stride even on the deeper balls he was throwing. I understand coaches trying to control the situation and avoid turnovers but you can't hold his hand forever they need to trust him more. I think he has earned that

I thought him keeping his cool in one of the most hostile places in the NFL has been very understated. There were no false start or apparent communication issues as far as I can tell. He didn't seem rattled at all. That place gets LOUD... you can't hear anything.

True, of course he does not check out of plays the way Romo does, most of the snaps took place with 9 to 10 seconds on the play clock. Weeden is pretty much doing what the team has asked of him.

Talk about a hateful spin. Jerry never said Weeden was the most gifted passer and as for limitation those limitation have been more with what the coaches are asking of Weeden. Last week Weeden was incapable of the deep ball?

In the 2 min drill Weeden needed just four plays to move into the New Orleans red zone. He completed passes of 24, 28 and 19 to Terrance Williams, Jason Witten and Cole Beasley, respectively, upping his completion percentage to 62 percent on the night.
It all culminated with a 20-yard touchdown strike to Williams on 4th-and-7 – a play that the Cowboys had dialed up unsuccessfully on several occasions in the game.

My hope is Weeden earns the confidence of the coaches to be more aggressive.

Weeden was only able to do that against a prevent defense, Collinsworth pointed that out several times that his reads were so much easier when the D backs up like that. He was AWOL for the remainder of the game. As long as he let's it fly in 3 seconds or less, he is okay. Holds it too long and it's like shooting fish in a barrell. Or worse, he tries to run, I just shut my eyes when he leaves the pocket because I know that NOTHING good comes out of it.

In what world is Weeden getting the job done?
He's having a nice first half because of Randle getting huge runs, and then once the opposing team figures out that all they have to do to completely shut down our offense is clog up the running lanes and take Witten out the game, the game is over. The second half played out the exact same way as the falcons game.

I did not know we drove the field and put up the tying TD in the final 2 min? Guess I will have to rewatch the Alt game. Weeden is doing what he is being asked to do, he was asked to do more in the NO and did just that driving 91 yards for the TD to get us in a position to win. That is the world in which he is doing the job he is being asked to do.
