We don't have the same Davis Arizona had. I think it could work.

Davis doesn't have the feet to play LT and Houck can't make his feet quicker.

This is why I love the internet. Arm chair coaches and GM's can make broad sweeping generalizations based on information they hear from other arm chair intern coaches.

I love it.

...before panic sets in, he also mentioned that he's got two good young tackles that are ready to step up and be throw to the wolves so to speak. I highly doubt we're really going to move Davis back to tackle...I think he mentions this as a last resort type move rather than a probability.

Correct..Jerry was saying as a last resort Bigg could move to LT. I doubt that it happens though.

Jerry threw that out for more than one reason. Certainly to let Flo know that there are back-up plans should he want an unreasonable contract, but also to keep Cowboy Nation from going into full scale panic mode should Flo depart. Throw in his thoughts on our young tackles on the rostor, then that should be a tell-tale sign that Flo is probably gone.

This is just a ploy by Ole Jerry to try to keep contract talks with Flo in the reasonable category----he is smart enough not to appear desperate and that he has other options besides Flo.

But seriously, if it came to life without Flo, Doug Free or McQ will be able to man the LT spot with Houck aboard. Even Jerry is not dumb enough to take Bigg from his natural position and weaken 2 areas.

Yes it could be, just like any and all FA / Draft / Trade talk is a ploy. Which it needs to be at this point in time. Don't give away any secrets.

It could also be a negotiating ploy. It's difficult to lowball Flozell if you tell everyone that you don't have anyone else who can play that position.

That is what I was thinking...and hoping.:)

I'd rather see what we have in our younger players - also can play free agency game with all of Flo's $ freed up.

We have not won one playoff game in the Flozell era and candidly will not miss watching countless more Flo False start penalties.

Yes, our Davis is older and now convinced that he's best suited for the interior line

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones indicated Sunday that Leonard Davis could move to left tackle if Flozell Adams leaves in free agency.

Davis, who played like an All-Pro at right guard in 2007, was a bust as a left tackle in Arizona. It'd be risky to put him on Tony Romo's blind side this year.

He is just vying for leverage in the Flozell negotiations.

If that did happen, this would be Jerry's new face-lift.
