Anybody shocked by this? Neither team are that great and it was a sloppy game.

The only thing Jerry cares about. It doesn't matter if we win to Jerry. As long as we are America's team he is ok with it. He has a big reality check coming very soon. Rome didnt last forever, nor did the British empire. We are nearing 25 years since a SB apperance. This gravy train won't last forever.

But, but, that's because we're America's Team. When rival fans laugh at us we can always throw that one back at them to level the argument, can't we?

JJ will never see another SB...a leopard doesn't change it's spots....all we can hope for is when SJ fully takes over, that maybe he will not be exactly the same as his father

How can some people readily accept Captain Obvious things like Jerry Jones being a dysfunctional general manager or Jason Garrett is not fit as head coach but do not anticipate the possibility of a Cowboys/Patriots matchup bringing tons of television ratings?

But both are ratings leaders consistently.
I expected high ratings just not the best in a decade high.

There have been several marquee matchups in that time span that were much better games and felt like a bigger deal than this one. E.g. 2007 Dallas/GB, 2012 Dallas/Washington Thanksgiving Game, 2016 Dallas/Pittsburgh, 2011-2013 win or go home Week 17 games, etc.

It was the Dallas Cowboys versus the New England Patriots. In other words, one of Earth's premier sports brands against the perennial Super Bowl contending team of the 21st Century.

"???"

Isolated in a primetime slot with only one other game as an alternative.
