Dude, he will not be a starter here, so get over your hate. It's the same old thing with you. The guy in Indy barely played either, and things aren't exactly peaches and cream for him as of yet. At some point, the teams that draft raw QB's have to take responsibility. Heck Caleb is kind of going through the same thing, and Daniels isn't because he was/is the most ready QB from last year's draft. As QB, yes. That was sealed when the extended Dak. But it doesn’t make sense nit having him on the field in some capacity because if his running ability. Heck, his HS coach said he should be a RB. Either McCarthy isn’t creative enough to do that, or more likely, he’s been given direction from on high not to.

I don’t believe they want to play him because it will increase his salary. I think this front office is very calculated and would do it.

He is going to play. They have 9 games left. I suspect that Duece Vaughn will play also before the year is over.

There’s always that rare chance he has a good game even if in practice it doesn’t seem that way. If he sucks then we know what we have in him. Easy!

Maybe, but that would beg the question, why? Dak is the QB1 for the next 3 years; that die was cast when the extended him. Do they plan on Trey being the backup for the next 3 years? Why would Trey do that? I’m sure he could get a lowball offer in FA equal to what the Cowboys will offer with a chance to start.

Makes no sense, go with Rush and Lance. That would mean they wasted a 4th on Lance. Plus the spent a 5th on that WR and in a year they suck and would have early picks.

They took a flyer on a player who’s was a top 10 pick 2 seasons prior.
It didn’t work out.
It was well worth the risk of a 4th round pick.
