Thank god there were not many serious injuries. There are a lot of jokes going around not only on this site but on rival sites, it sucks, this truly could have been a lot worse. I am one fan of a rival who hopes for a speedy recovery to all those injured and who is thankful it wasn't worse.

A classy fan of a rival, it would appear... on another board a poster shared some comments from some Iggles fans... you can probably guess what kind of comments they made...

Thanks for your decency...

so anyway, my parents have this leisure swing in their back yard. it used to have a canvas canopy cover....well earlier this past week, a thunderstorm came through SA with high winds blew the swing across the yard and ripped the cover to shreds. to be honest, now that i think about it, seeing the swing laying in the yard are torn up, kind of resembled the heap up in Dallas.

At least the swing is ok, we picked it up and removed the torn canopy....it is fine to swing on still, just no cover to protect you from the sun.

unfortunately, they cant really do that with the practice facility. it will take several weeks to get that thing cleaned up.

actually to replace it would not take too long. First everything has to be removed (which will have to wait until the investigations are done) then the Cowboys will have to talk with the insurance company to see about the replacement costs. One can guess that the next one will be considerably stronger. So if that is the case, it might not get done before training camp.

IMO, they should just move to San Antonio for the rest of their spring camps

Well this one was built after training camp was over in Parcell's first year and I believe completed for the next offseason. I'm not sure about that.

However the replacement facility would have to be at least completed by the end of this years training camp. We'll be in San Antonio for that, so they have until the end of training camp so they have something for the season.

Don't know if this has been reported but...

Just received word that Rich Beam's injuries are far more serious than we thought. He has fractured a Thoracic (sp?) bone in the spinal column as well as a severed spinal column. He is permanantly paralyzed from the waist down. He's resting in stable condition after surgery.

Keep him and his family in your prayers.

Yeah I just read about Behm in another thread. I can't imagine what he is going through. All we can do is pray that he has the courage and strength to deal with this.

A truly awful situation and my heart goes out to Rich Behm and his family. It's amazing how something so totally unpredictable could happen.

Hoping for the best for everyone that was in the practice facility. Something like this so transcends all the football rivalries that we fan for our own amusement.
