Bubble that covers Cowboys indoor field collapses

IRVING, Texas (AP) — An air-supported practice bubble that covers a practice at the Dallas Cowboys’ facility collapsed during a strong thunderstorm on Saturday.

There were no reports of injuries. An ambulance was seen arriving at the scene.

Emergency medical technicians were seen entering portions of the bubble that were still standing.

Irving fire-rescue officials ordered all reporters and team personnel away from the immediate area.

The afternoon practice ended in horrifying fashion when the Cowboys' indoor facility collapsed.

While a violent thunderstorm pounded rain down on the roof, the lights started shaking back and forth. Then chaos broke out, as the facility collapsed and players, coaches, reporters and team personnel scrambled for safety.

Several people were trapped under the wreckage. Police and emergency personnel have arrived on the scene.

More to come.

Jerry Jones and Bob Costas at the Derby said it was a tornado and there are no fatalities that they are aware of. Hopefully everyone is OK.

Seriously, I hope no one is seriously hurt, but maybe Ed Weiner and Rowdy, injured while both were fighting over an ATV.

Steve Dennis is saying that a new video guy was taking away in an ambulance with at least a broken arm, and a coach(Brett Maxie) had a gash in his leg that needed stitches. He also said that Chris Hall's(scout) wife was very upset because she hasn't heard from him.

Hall has been found, he's banged up but okay. Steve Dennis said that a rookie had told him that all the coaches and players are suppose to be accounted for.

I am watching on channell 11. it looks pretty awful.

I am recording the live coverage, I will put it up later...

the players and coaches you can see frantically helping people get out.

You can hear it in steve dennis's voice via the phone how shaken up he is...he has serious tremble voice.

Is it callous of me to feel relieved that the ones hurt were not players?

I guess I figure that as long as the injuries are not serious the nonplayers will heal in time while the players don't need any setbacks.

SOmething like 60 people hurt. Details very sketchy though.

EDIT !!!!

Those reports of 60 people hurt were exaggerated. More like 10 or so.
