But it does mean there have been no setbacks and his shoulder is progressing in the right direction.

Why don't people get that? Throwing the ball against air has nothing to do with being able to play a game and take 15-20 hits.

True enough, but his ability to take hits would be the deciding factor....he might have been able to get back one game sooner if he hadn't been put on IR but that is somewhat questionable. Of course, the way things have gone, one less game with Weesel might be the difference between playoffs or not.
