Playbook probably more limited with Dak, but the dual threat was giving the defense problems, especially down by the GL.

Some defenses problems. NYG handled him pretty well. As I stated then and will state until proven wrong- good defenses execute their assignments and stay home. The vast majority of big plays from running QBs happen when defenders get out of their lanes and rush past them. This is why running QBs struggle in the playoffs.

Dak was a better leader overall, the team had rallied around him. His decisions on offense were better than the wing it type of mindset that Romo had. You didnt see game losing picks and in big moments that Romo was famous for.

Romo wasn't perfect, but in 2016 he was the better QB. No doubt about it.

But for me, it was the bigger picture. Cowboys werent winning the SB that year anyway. With Garrett and the defense, it just wasnt going to happen. Romo's days were numbered and the writing was on the wall. Getting Dak experience and in the playoffs to me was more important going forward then any last hurah for Romo that wasnt going to pan out anyway.

That reads like some after the fact coping. I doubt you were satisfied with losing at home to GB.

A team of identity is defined beforehand by the GM who hires the HC and picks the players to fill it or he allows the HC to define the identity.

This GM has allowed the HC to define it twice, once when he bought it and once when he needed to get the stadium deal.

The Joneses do not have a plan, they develop it after each season ends and it is dependent on that season.

Very true -- it has long been said to be a reactionary organization! Creative it's not -- reactionary it is and long has been. ;)

cause jerry will not hire some one with a vision and a plan. a real vision and a real plan i mean. he buy into non sense. mccarthy sold him on his non sense, use a few buzzword that sound good and smart.

also jerry himself does not have a plan. his plan to me is try to just out talent every other team which is impossible lol

in the nfl a team with 6 talent and 10 coaching will beat a team with 6 coaching and 10 talent. all day!

Slow down.

This team very much has an identity.

It's Dak at QB, Zeke at RB and Cooper at #1 WR.

Our OL is our calling card and while it's injured and major pieces have been injured and or forced to retire..

the team will rebuild the OL..heal up Dak and let Zeke get a calm off season without Covid and dog drama.

I read all year about what's wrong with Zeke..he has fallen off a cliff..etc.

Zeke caught Covid early in the year. He recovered but it still effected him. I know people who have caught Covid and survived but they are debilitated..tired fatigued and suffer sore joints that shut them down.

Zeke is a proud dude. He would never admit he was affected by the virus. He was but he shut up about it.

Many many players this year got covid and sat out 10-14 days isolation and when they returned to play.

they were not the same. Not at all. Brees was the only guy who I saw get sick and come back and play well. That was it that I saw.

So our identity is clearly there and nothing has changed.

Defensively...we will change for the better once we draft in April. Alot of changes are coming and guys like Lee and Wolf Hunter maybe gone or used in action with new faces.

Our defensive backfield will be rebuilt with rookies and along with the DL and LBers..it will be a work in progress. We do not have a identity there yet.

Stand by.

We will compete for the NFC East and make our identity known to our immediate teams in our division.

So calm down and let's see what happens.

I remain positive. You do what you want to do.

Enjoy the ride.
Well, you declared we have an identity, but then didn't explain what that identity is. What is it? A running team unless we get the itch to go pass happy? A D that can't stop anyone?

really?

so please please tell me what your credential are? do you run a billion dollar business from a high ranking FO postion?

you an integral part of building a billion dollar pro sports franchise?

any true real life experience besides sitting your *** in front of a keyboard and trying hard to actual say something that has any weight to it besides ramblings from fan who watches sports and believes they have the answer?

anything? bueller, bueller, bueller?

the agnomical egotistical fan base is the issue IMO SAS is correct some of you really give the DC a bad name..

they have had identities, we were a run first tem set up with the PA pass and played bend dont break defense for while...romo, Murray, ware, Witten, and others that led to and they passed that wand an identity to Zeke and Dak and it was working until a new OC was handed the keys to QB needing a new contract amnd somehow decides a vaunted pass attack like he was working with PManning or ARogers that has led to an identity crisis,

the fans called for change and they got it so Identity is TBD when you have new staff in strange covid shorted and odd season failed, well MM has not had chance to get that worked out..

trying to be something you weren't set out to be has caused an identity crisis but will get handled. Being run first PA passing team and trying to pass happy offense and using your RBs lie FBs is the first issue, add injuries' and defense that now was made worse by the change and because with owing TOP anymore the defense was further exposed,

but back to the new staff, they need real chance at creating a new culture and identity and 2020 got derailed and we know the truth..

so sit back relax and lets see what MM and Quinn have in store and please real in KM a bit because he needs to be taught how to integrate run game into his pass schemes because they look disjointed to me one side gets all creative and the other well outdated run formations and the play calls for runs seems liek they are thrown in like garnish on great meal which well the garnish didnt really make sense..

lots of work but as fan its just another offseason waiting to see what they cook up,

but lets not act like the string run game PA offense that protected the defense with TOP an a defense bend dont break well it was at least consistent enough to get us in the playoffs 2014, 2016, 2018 but hence KM came in 2019 and it started changing..now a new staff for 2020 and new staff again for the defense in 2021 is now a wait and see where this takes us Identity. Its all new..

you do realize back to billP and back to JJ days that was our identity strong run game , TOP eating offense that PA killed you when you packed the box and a good defense but always that defense didnt have to do a lot with the run game..OL great RBs and solid defense was the identity..2019-2020 has had so much change that it looks out of sorts but will settle down..

go back to chip kelley in philly it didnt work not sure this is as bad but not utilizing the run game and letting KM just do his thing could be a big issue..time will tell but they better work on better run game in KM offense
Nominated for worst post of the month.

I believe 100% “most”of our problems is we have no system or identity....

What is a Cowboy?....I don’t know, no clue

We draft all over the place and very inconsistent in what sort of team we are trying to build

I honestly have no idea what type of team Jerry is trying to build....is it a good defense like Baltimore always has?...(yea right)...is it a good offense like the Saints always have?...NO CLUE

Problem is we have two braindead farts in the FO.
