I think the Cowboys have always been top heavy but would have glaring holes. Now they have some depth and their holes aren’t as glaring.

A day the GM who has assembled that talent finally realizes that. Far later than he should have, but the emotional attachment runs deep.

And that's why the head coach is coaching for his job again this year. No excuses. Take this team further or we'll get someone else who can. But we're not going to sit back while you waste another set of players careers like you did Romo.

Where do we rank at head coach and GM?

Probably near the middle to slightly above average.

If we had one of the more Elite QB with this core of talent we’d already be playing for championships despite our FO and coaching staff.

And someone should get credit for assembling this core of talent. Which is probably our GM, VP and HC collaborate effort.

Our weaknesses in a couple of critical areas in talent are the difference . A coaching staff that takes you to the brink of a championship appearance more than once isn’t the sole culprit.

Funny how even NFL players don't think Dak is anything special.

It’s really typical for fans to hold their own closer to their heart. Much like we do our own kids.

And Dak won our hearts over his Rookie season but his weaknesses have been exposed since. He has his intangible assets we can win with given the supporting cast is there.

How far we can go is still yet to be determined. But it’s unlikely he will have much more supporting cast than this once Cap begins ripping us apart. And why the future is now.

Cowboys fans have overrated their team's talent for 20 years or more. It's a tradition. People talked up the 2007 and 2014 teams like they were elite, even though they were both around league average in points allowed. They confuse a few guys getting heavy media exposure with having a properly constructed roster top to bottom.

Yep. Talent means nothing if you don’t do something with it in the playoffs. Two wild card wins in 8 full seasons is not exactly maximizing your talent.
