I think Brazil is going to lag behind the US specifications for maintaining an NFL caliber playing surface . And if reports coming out of Brazil are correct that seems to be the case . Unfortunately Dallas has to try and win a game .

Years ago I think his name was George Toma and he worked for the Chiefs . The NFL sent him to overseas games ahead of time to assist the home country in preparing the surface .

Brazil freaking has the World Cup and other major tournaments regularly. Those are a much bigger stage than the NFL in case you weren't paying attention.

I just hope noone gets hurt. We really need to stop with these games in places that don't have safe playing conditions.

It's also a great imposition to have the players and coaches having to train do the macarena during breaks in the upcoming game in Rio.

I doubt that they"re playing on the soccer grass.

I know for the European games, stadium operators have to replace their regular grass surface with a new field grown specifically for the NFL game - using the same grass mix as is normally used in the NFL.

I expect the same applies to other overseas games.

The NFL have had reports concerning the surface and Jerry himself was asked about it after the game . Of course he knew nothing except stumbling and bumbling .

The surface on turf , fake grass in Nashville was 157 melting cleats and sending Nick Siriani for an IV in a high noon game in 95 degrees Nashville heat , that’s concerning and a high noon game in Southeast heat . No xenophobia , just concern for players & coaches & fans that’s all . Ridiculous how some posters think .

I'm a massive WC fan and soccer/football fan. I have nothing against Brazil. However, the last two times a game was played there in the NFL, there were major injuries to Love and the Chargers tackle. However, I think Japan or England are better hosts for international matches like this. I think Japan would love it if we played there, and Japan likes the sport. England usually does a good job hosting too. I'm not opposed to international games. I just have reservations about the safety of the players when it comes to Brazil considering the injuries that happened the last two times.

Exactly, and it's not the first time that playing surface has been an issue with Brazil.

NFL needs to step on. Cancel the game there. Play it at Cowboys Stadium also known as Jerry World, AKA AT&T Stadium.

The nfl doesn't care about the field conditions. They just want the money that comes with expanding to non USA locations.

It's not enough they are pricing out the typical nfl fans from attending games.
