same way mlb and the nba did it. when you make mlb look good, you're doing something very wrong.
Dont like Goodell, but when you only have a scant few games to play as it is, not sure how you plan ideally for it. Especially when you cant afford to take a hit financially. They already nixed the preseason. Thats like a 2billion dollar loss, out of the chute. Not sure what more the man can do. All he can do is test the players each day, and now they have just approved that. I think thats about all he can do. Lots of testing daily, and try to go about practice as normal.

they put the cash cow first.
ITS BUSINES. They have to. They are in business to profit and not eat dead money. Its on the players as individual to follow guidelines set forth by each state. The NFL isnt their NANNY. Its their workplace.

they didn't really 86 the preseason until just a couple of days ago when players started letting ownership know they had serious health concerns and wouldn't show up until those concerns were addressed. it's hard to criticize a guy who doesn't want to practice for fear he will bring home covid to his pregnant wife. and in the lawrence thread a few did. unbelievable.

if it were your own business, would you not try to protect the profit margins first? Its terrible not to. We are talking about grown men here that know the guidelines set forth in each state. They already know the risk and how to mitigate the spread. Its not the NFL'S job to police grown men.

when my wife was pregnant years ago I worked. Just because shes preggers why should he stay home? lol As long as hes getting tested daily I dont see the issue. This is being blown out of proportion. Unless you put each player in a plastic hermetically sealed bubble, there is no more that can be done here. May as well cancel the dang season. Im tired of the complainers. Im SO past it.

and sometimes it does. It all depends on the business. Fishing will always be there. But the NFL only has a short window in which to play these 16 games. So I can kinda see where they are coming from. Its a unique deal. Jealous BTW...your in beautiful Alaska.. lol ..I'm sweltering here in West Texas.

and what happens if and when a test comes back positive? we see covid systemically. but few understand the power a virus has to mutate and change in an instant. this is hardly a black and white issue.

its gonna happen. Its inevitable. Its not a perfect deal. Guys will test positive. My answer is, I dunno what happens. Its not a death sentence for most. The mortality rate is 99.7. Thats pretty dang good.

i live in dallas. the lodge is a fun way of making a little money while i enjoy cooler weather in the summer. i was there in early july for king salmon and will be returning in august when the coho start their run. i have a few employees there to keep an eye on things.

life must proceed on. Thats all I can say man. We cannot shut it down and survive. Thats the reality. Risk must be made. Otherwise we have already been defeated if we simply stay home. Im gonna live my life as per usual. The NFL has but a short time to fit the season in.

NBA just confirmed no new cases since July 13th in the bubble. Be prepared for something like that for the NFL
NHL has only had two cases, which could be considered as being even more promising.

With no off season OTA's, mini camps, no PS games, and limited in TC, almost vets will get the reps to learn the new schemes. You are probably right.

Look for Awuzie, Brown, Lewis, Worley, get most of the snaps to start TC, with a heavy mix of Diggs of course. I can see Canady alternating with Worley.
Then sprinkle in Robinson before Goodwin and Westry.

This TC will be about getting the vet players up to speed with the new stuff, as they been through it all before. And our vet players need deprogrammed from Rowdy..er..I mean Garrett. They need to learn how not to clap.
Robinson will be a ST ace.

Dudes like him along with guys like Canady will go a long way toward making the coverage units much better.

If nothing else, I expect a serious improvement in that area.

Robinson and QB Ben DiNucci are really the only draftees i don't have much of a handle on, and i dunno how Robinson's playing time and
role will factor into this season, and i don't see him at the front run, even in nickel with such shortened OTA's, training camp and really hurtfully with zero preseason games,. i see him as more special teams this year while he factors more come next year

i admit that at draft time i was aiming for Notre Dame's CB Troy Pride in the 4th round ..vs Robinson, but Pride came off the board first
and i'll have to trust in McClay and crew, that seem to like his skill set and physical tools. i saw a few draft writings that had him
eventually moving to safety but i'll the coaching staff and scouting team on this one.

Really hate that zero preseason games makes this a wipe out in hopes of visualy seeing our rookies in live game action.

I love that innocent feeling that we nailed every single pick, and this draft sets the team up for years to come.

Then reality (not the mod) starts to set in a bit and I realize at least a couple of these guys are gonna bust.
