The #Cowboys season would feel much better if the red zone issues weren’t such an issue.

• Per NFL Pro, Dak Prescott has completed just 39.1% of his pass attempts in the red zone this season, the 4th-lowest in the NFL.

• The offense has scored a touchdown on just 37.5% of their red zone trips (31st), only better than the Miami Dolphins per @pfref

• The offense has had just 16 attempts in the red zone (29th). It’s also the lowest in the NFC East; yes, the Giants have more with 19.

Fix those, and the team could be in line for, at the very least, a more competitive season.

How many rushing TD's do we have? 2 total and 1 being by Dak.

It is not like anyone believes we are going to run the ball.

You have to be able to run or threaten to run in the red zone to be effective.

I believe the teams with the best records have the ability to run for TDs in the red zone.

This is really the root of all of it. We’ve moved the ball pretty well between the 20’s. We got in the redzone on the first 2 drives against Detroit and came up with 3 points. The same thing happened last year and they came out of the bye on fire. Doubtful this season….

Well when the wr's aren't getting any separation and you can't run the ball what can you expect, especially in the redzone when you have even less space to work with? Better play call and scheming would yield better results. You have to wonder how do we prepare for teams? It seems like we are lost on both offense and defense.

With seven games in, six teams so far have run for 1,000 yards or more. One of them has done it in six games.

5-2 Ravens: 1,476 yards
5-2 Commies: 1,158 yards
5-2 Packers: 1,085 yards
3-4 Cardinals: 1,052 yards
3-4 49ers: 1,049 yards
4-2 Eagles (six games): 1,000 yards

O-line rankings are as of today per NFL/PFF rankings

Ravens: #11 O-line, running/mobile QB, stud RB, legit #1 receiver
Commies: #9 O-line, running/mobile QB, pass catching RB's
Packers: #4 O-line, running/mobile QB, legit #1 receiver
Arizona: #23 O-line, running/mobile QB, hit or miss RB/WR combo
49ers: #12 O-line, statute at QB, when healthy excellent RB/WR combo.
Eagles: #5 O-line despite Johnson and Mailata missing time, running/mobile QB, stud RB, legit #1/#2 combo at WR, all somewhat mitigated by the dumbest HC in the league.

The only anomaly on this list is Arizona. 49ers would have a winning record if healthy, I don't think anyone would dispute that.

Now, our Boys...#18 O-line, semi-mobile QB, below average RB's, legit #1 WR with JAG's bringing up the rear. We have a climb ahead of us, especially since two of those teams are ahead of us in the NFCE.
