Cowboys red zone issues - they're just bad

The #Cowboys season would feel much better if the red zone issues weren’t such an issue.

• Per NFL Pro, Dak Prescott has completed just 39.1% of his pass attempts in the red zone this season, the 4th-lowest in the NFL.

• The offense has scored a touchdown on just 37.5% of their red zone trips (31st), only better than the Miami Dolphins per @pfref

• The offense has had just 16 attempts in the red zone (29th). It’s also the lowest in the NFC East; yes, the Giants have more with 19.

Fix those, and the team could be in line for, at the very least, a more competitive season.

Red zone… dead zone… etc… we just stink across the board this year

I use to jokingly say they were saving it until I heard Jerry say he’s **** Cook and I’m like I think they really are saving it….i guess when they go 3-8 they will change.

It is not like anyone believes we are going to run the ball.

I think jerry brought elliot back to kill the run game.
If it was just rico and lupke they would have a decent run game IF they got 25 to 30 carries a game.
15 carries between 3 rb is a joke.

The Cowboys struggle running the ball with everything spread out. It gets worse in a short condensed field (red zone or short yardage situations). The boys also lack receivers who can get off the ball, run good routes, and go up to attack the ball in tight coverage other than CD. Double CD and everyone else gets covered up by Texas middle school JV squad defenders.

Plus, Dak unfortunately leads the league in tight window throws because we have no WRs and our receivers coach sucks as explained by Michael Irvin and Troy Aikman. Our Oline coach sucks as well. So does whomever designs our passing routes and calls out our situational play calls.
