This^^^^^^^keep in mind we are by what our eyes have shown us. What we don't know is his demeanor, behavior or knowledge in the QB room and practices. What was his reaction to Sam Howell's addition? Did it piss him off and motivate him to work harder? I'm guessing this move has a lot to do with what we have not seen or heard rather than what we have seen.

If anything a tradeable asset to get the pick back we wasted on him. A QB will go down somewhere and he’s far from trash.

he is not tradable material. and at most would have been a 7th. they did him a favor to allow him to latch to a team he may have a chance

Yea, it is bad timing for him to even be the future starter. But, I was hoping more time could elevate his game more and could possibly result in draft picks or a trade. The same logic applies to Howell too, he is only a year younger, he won’t be the future starter either.

If this is true that he can’t read defenses then that would explain the Cowboys saying Howell practiced better. If Howell was able to read the defense in practice. I still wish we would have a 3rd string developmental QB that we’re working with.
