WHAT IF- Jerry is playing the probability game and thinks Dak won't finish the season as he has done in the past. By getting rid of Milton, Jerry has all but ensured the team will tank. Thus giving DAL a better shot at a top 5 draft pick.

Oh, I think it highly unlikely that JJ will ever surrender the honorific GM title...but it's evident (to me, anyway) that roster-building has, at a minimum, become much more of a collaborative process than it has been in the past.

Every QB that has ever flamed out in this league or has gotten coaches fired had "upside". I am more interested in whether or not they can play.

Did you see the line Howell played behind in Washington? Sacked almost 80 times and under constant duress. Over half his picks that season were the result of him getting hit as he threw or being rushed; not poor reads or decisions.

Howell had zero chance to succeed. That he survived it without a major injury was a surprise in itself.

He threw the ball more than any QB and that impacts this metric, but Washington’s OL was at least solid, finishing 14th in pass-blocking win rate.
