He’s raw. He didn’t kick in college and only in the USFL.

Some coaching and he can be a guy that floats around the NFL.

Let’s be real though, there are about 5-10 solid kickers. The rest of the guys are just one year rentals and you play musical chairs with them lol

yuck. and less yuck. this is worrisome, given 30% of our points came from kickers in 2022. lets say we are 10% worse. that would be around 14 points for the year, about a point per game. that's significant.

Greg the leg wasn't healthy that year. Oxnard is a bad place to kick. Maher had a good year last year. That field at Tampa was awful. They also had some issues with the snaps.

Yes and you cant expect a kicker to be perfect all the time, they dont expect that of the other players.
The field the wind, the hold, how a kicker feels that day, the distance, where the ball is placed, all come into play.

They should have kept maher, he was cheap and can kick the long ones.

Now it looks like jerry lost faith in all kickers and just wants a dirt cheap one.

He could have got robbie gould, but didnt want to pay for him.

yeah that sounds smart for a year cowboys are supposed to make a SB run.
Be funny if they lose the div round game because the kicker at end of game is wide right from the 33 yd line.
