Cowboys release TO *Merged*

Called his first QB out for being questionably homosexual. Blasted every coordinator, coach, etc.

Destroyed the Eagles organization, held out, insulted his QB, made a public spectacle in his driveway.

He was a saint here compared to his time with the Whiners and Philthy.
You can make the personal evaluation that he is Saint Nicholas, etc. It doesn't matter. In this case, what matters is how Jerry Jones, Wade Phillips, etc., evaluated his maturity as a player because I'm certain (or at least it is my opinion) that Owens' skills as a wide receiver were not questioned.

Didn't think this was gonna happen.

From a talent perspective, this sucks. This really, really, sucks. We lose the one WR we have that is a constant 1000 yard/10 TD guy.

Here's hoping Owens was the cause of every problem in Dallas.

Or we've just taken another step back this offseason.

We've got Kitna, we've got Roy Williams, we're getting rid of our most talented players --- yup, we're on our path to 0-16. We're becoming the Lions.

The friggin' Lions.

Damn right... Kitna is an INT machine as well.. Jason Garrett is Mike Martz, not Norv Turner..

Jerry Jones knocks on Terrell Owens' door...

"Hello"?

"Hi Drew. Is Terrell available?"

"Next question."

:muttley: Your man, TO, will never get a SB ring...not with the way he acts.

And, where are your boys, 5Countem (he's online) and my bro Bleu Star?

Anyway, the team just got better with TO gone...good luck for him the rest of the way.

TO might not ever get a Super Bowl.

But it looks like that it may be true of any of these current Cowboys.

Owens would have a Super Bowl ring, had his QB not vommitted and choked in the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl which he fought back from a broken fibula (4 month injury) in 7 weeks and balled out of control. I understand his hostility towards Donny. You work that hard to get somewhere, and watch your QB throw it away (like he's thrown away every other Eagles season).

Owens is insecure, childish, and extremely naive - but as far as WRs that have played this game, there are only a handful better.

68 pages, over a 1000 posts and not one of them that I saw had the truly relevant statement.

I think that shows how difficult the decision was...as well as how much respect they had for him.

you're going to hate it when September comes around and reality isn't quite as nice as your delusions about how good we are without him

I agree, and maybe less then a handful. If the guy would just grow up, shut up, and stop "loving me some me"...the sky would have been the limit for the guy.

Anyway, I wish him well, as I was one of his biggest fans the past few years up until this year.

Cerrato: 'No Interest' In T.O.

By Gary Fitzgerald

The Commanders have “no interest” in signing wide receiver Terrell Owens, executive vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato said.

Owens was released on Thursday by the Dallas Cowboys.

“[Owens’s representatives] called us three years ago before he went to Dallas, and we didn’t have interest then,” Cerrato said. “Why would we have interest when he’s three years older now? We have no interest.”

Cerrato said the Commanders remain committed to developing their young group of wide receivers, including 2008 second-round picks Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly.

Owens is a 13-year NFL veteran who has played for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. He is 35 years old.

Owens has 951 career catches for 14,122 yards and 139 touchdowns in his career.

In the reality of life...I could care less if the Cowboys go 0-16! This is just a game for me...
