But the Joneses should spend for quality....players who will make an impact at their positions to elevate the team to be a strong conference-league championship contender for the next three-to-four seasons.

They don't know how to

Should be the new amount. I think Dallas rolled over just shy over 5 million from last year, giving them a little over $229 million to spend.

Hate when people post it like that, making it seem like we have 229 to spend, when it's really 20-30 in non smart math terms

uh oh. The greedy quarterback surrendered money back to his boss. This is the kind of cooperation between boss and employee that might favorably lengthen their partnership for several more years. Will CowboysZone survive this latest news? Stay tuned true believers!
Restructuring for the player is just getting money paid now. If this was agreeing to a pay cut, that would be praiseworthy.

Can clear more money with tank restructure and Tyron resigning. Could clear up a good chunk more.

I knew they weren’t going to give up on Dak but I still held out a glimmer of hope they’d make him put up or shut up this year. Sigh

It is probably telling that a Tyron restructure wasn't included in this announcement. They may actually move on. I didn't think they would.
Could look at it the other way, we only needed to clear $16m this week, as we now are $14 in credit there's no longer a need to restructure Tyron (though it would be prudent to do so.

Dak and Zack bought time especially for a resolution on the Zeke situation....it's a statement to him saying that there's no immediate rush we'll cut you as a post June and pocket a further $10m.

Correct. He’s in year 3 of a 4 year deal. His cap hit is $52 million BEFORE this restructure.

They will extend him a year or two to drop it next season.
The thought of moving on from Dak and his contract was really nonsensical. Besides, he is not nearly as bad as the narrative parroted on this board. He’s not Mahomes and we’re not gonna win the same way as KC, but we can still win with Dak.
