Man, if Dak every starts watching Staubach's tape, this team is going to be truly dangerous.
This will truly be an example of compete for it in camp...that this fan likes.Any high school or college athlete that aspires to be a TE in the NFL would have to know who Jason Witten is. It would be nothing more than common sense for such a person to want to study Jason closely.
Jason Witten was not a blue chip, naturally gifted athlete. He became one of the best TE's in history as a result of hard work, dedication, and a commitment to perfecting his play. He was the master technician.
At the very least, Schoonmaker knows what to say in order to endear himself to Cowboy fans.
I believe he wants to be a great TE for the Cowboys. However, I'm, not convinced he's just going to walk in and take over the position. He's going to have to fight to earn his percentage of play time. The designated starter, the one that receives the most opportunity, could be any of the three young players. It will be fun to watch.
Baptism of fire...came out steel.Man, if Dak every starts watching Staubach's tape, this team is going to be truly dangerous.
Huh ? ... what is this ?Witten will teach him how to alienate other tight ends on the team
You don't know much about football. Do you?Man, if Dak every starts watching Staubach's tape, this team is going to be truly dangerous.
I watched a lot of videos of Reggie Jackson, tried hitting a 80 mile an hour baseball and whiffed badly every time...I watch a lot of Clint Eastwood films, still waiting for my day to get made.
I have a very good feeling about Schoonmaker. He just strikes me as the kind of young man that will do anything asked of him without complaint and bust his tail doing it.
Nice post as usual plasticman. Schoon needs to realize the unreal history of all pro tight ends to wear Cowboys unis:Any high school or college athlete that aspires to be a TE in the NFL would have to know who Jason Witten is. On 3rd and 5.Hope he doesn't teach him the 4 yard stop, catch, drop and roll.
Wish Step would have been an OL coach.Bring Coach in and let me speak to the young guys
Not really against it if you have the first and momentum is carrying you out of bounds why take a hit for 1 yard more, now if the extra yard is 1st down or TD that is different.Watch all the tip-toeing out of bounds and remember *not* to do that.
TEs have 50 lbs on the secondary and should be *looking* for contact.

That's the same thing you are taught to do when you catch on fire.........Hope he doesn't teach him the 4 yard stop, catch, drop and roll.
A friend of mine, is a UM fan, but she is also a GB fan.I have a very good feeling about Schoonmaker. He just strikes me as the kind of young man that will do anything asked of him without complaint and bust his tail doing it.
Nice.A friend of mine, is a UM fan, but she is also a GB fan.
She loved our draft, and that we got 2 UM players. Said she was so jealous. That our draft was great overall, but also hated it as to being a GB fan.
She hated GB's draft, said it really sucked. Also is glad AR is gone but has no confidence at this point to Love being the QB.
She thinks Schoonmaker will be great. Thinks we got one of the better players in the draft.
She knows her football. I have better conversations with her than from many other people I know....and posters...
She is Michigan and GB...I am Ohio State and Dallas....but we keep it fun and light hearted....Good football talk over a few beers....
