Cowboys rooting guide - Playoffs vs Tank

That happens when you’re playing the giants and Carolina. Tampa is the only win this season that was against a credible team with a playoff chance and they did it the day they found out they weren’t making the playoffs with no expectations.

Congratulations. Must mean a lot to you.

Your constant flip flopping is annoying.

And they always play well when there are no expectations. It’s when the have some success and the media talks them up that they fall flat on their face. Why?

The culture is toxic. They could draft Mahomes next draft, guess what, it won’t make a difference.
What's going to happen when they play the Eagles and the Commanders? I love watching them play well and I love the draft.

Merry Christmas!

rooting for all wins. IDC about the draft until February. Sorry its fan thing drafts high draft picks are no guarantee to be turned into success proof all around the nfl most of the bad teams been bad for decade or more picking top 10 for that long…just win as many as you can and then draft will have plenty of good talent where’ve you choose just make better choices..
That is the weakest reason that exists. Why not just proclaim that you're a fan and prefer wins?

Guess you're one of the ones who think Payton Manning and Ryan Leaf were the same player.

I think most Team Tankers are using that to rationalize losing into winning. Can’t win the Super Bowl; no problem we can still win the Loser Bowl.

If they win these last two games, moving from like 12th to 17th in the draft will be the least of the ill effects.

It’s been said already, but it’ll only reinforce the Jones line of thinking that their plan to fully avoid free agency, etc is working.

I’m not saying I’m openly rooting to lose, but the worst part of this awful season would be if it ends up counting for zero toward the remote chance of change.

Watching Jerry skip down the hall with joy on the day they were eliminated made me want to puke.

I truly understand their reasoning but most of them must not have ever played organized sports they obviously are not looking at this from coaches and players perspective literally thanking isn’t a real thing in the sports world it was made up by fans

I know it appears that some teams are doing it on purpose so they call it tanking but they’re that bad teams are that bad the New York Giants are that bad that the Dallas Cowboys can take a back up team and beat them but that’s just because they made bad choices yes they bent some of their better players Dave cut some of their better players so it looks like they’re tanking know they’re just getting prepared to be worse and yes build some through the draft in free agency but they’ve done this before teams have done this before it’s not tanking they’re not literally going out there and losing on purpose they’re not telling their players that played poorly they simply didn’t put their better players back on the field because it makes no sense you’re basically trying to see who will play hard I mean look at the saints compared to the Cowboys the same **** even show up..... they gave zero resistance to the Packers and that’s unfair to the Packers other opponents now that wasn’t tanking but I can tell you what it is though there’s some players who don’t care now some of the coaches and the jams can go back and fill them and find out who’s being lazy who’s not giving their best efforts and they can get rid of those guys because they would be the cancer on the team that could be part of the reason they’ve been losing in the first place .....

So I get why some fans with white hair dry pictures yes you could probably get some better players higher in the draft there’s no guarantee those players are gonna be great NFL players the projections are one thing but there are a lot of top 10 draft is that don’t work out well at all especially at quarterback

So what I’m looking for is a team that gives max effort tries to win the game if they lose it’s easier to deal with I understand he gets a little bit better opportunities in the draft but I prefer them trying their best to win games and I’d rather have a win but again we are OK with the loss because it does get us a better spot but there’s no way I want a loser mentality in my locker room again look at the saints day they offered not a single bit of effort in that game from who they put on the field with some of the Cowboys the last five games are giving maximum effort with a bunch of back ups and I appreciate them ... ....

So basically there isnt a huge need to have a rooting interest over draft position, the Cowboys will be selecting right in the middle regardless

Yep. I don’t think many around here are getting that.

In fairness there’s much less potential for a dramatic swing this year vs past years with so many bad teams.

Either way, Dallas still manages to find a way to stay perfectly in the middle.

See San Antonio Spurs
NBA draft is an entirely different animal than the NFL draft.

NBA you get a 1st round player and that is basically it. A 2nd round player does not put you over the top.

2 rounds over 7 rounds.

what a 15 man roster vs 53 the 16 PS guys.
