Just read LVE may go to IR for neck injury. Its not good to injure the neck with screw and plates in it. One has to think of life when they get older and if the injuries will come back to haunt them later in life.

He needs to stop. Too much life to live. Don't mess with a chronic neck problem.

I’m surprised he lasted this long.

That being said, that’s really what influenced his play the last few years. Unlike Jaylon Smith who was just athletic, but lacked football intelligence, LVE without the neck problem was always in position and a beast. His impact was still even felt in how he properly lined up the defense when he missed a few games, meaning his IQ. His is a case of no longer the physical able to do what his brain wants him to do.
