Cowboys SB Drought - 2025 Assessment

The bookies are predicting 7.5 wins. I doubt they are far off.
Sounds about right. The gap between the Cowboys and the Eagles has grown larger not smaller. Same with Washington. The only gap that has grown smaller is the one with the Giants.

Yep. Especially the NFC. Cowboys, 49ers didn’t even make the playoffs who saw that coming?
Anyone who saw the lack of an offseason by the front office.

When your marquis free agent is Kendricks (who played great) you are going to be in line for a bad year. Not to mention Zeke as the answer at RB.

Understand, but personally I can’t dwell on the past thinking there’s no hope as long as Jerry’s around. Just not in my DNA.
there is always hope. but the question always is what's the probability of it happening and that's when trends revealing patterns of behavior lead to lower probability of success.
as fans we are always hopeful. sometimes chances are winning a raffel ticket and sometimes a lottery ticket (current cowboys)

They won 7 games with the team being on the IR. They are never players in free agency last
Year wasn’t some new revelation lol. The point was you don’t know who will be bad in the NFL.

lol So you don’t believe there’s any parity? At all?
Look.

I have been watching football a long time.

Id believe in parity if the Chiefs werent handed another SB appearance. Do you know how many games were won by the the officials for the chiefs? Take a guess.

What are you implying that it’s rigged?

I am implying that parity only seems to affect certain teams.

Do you watch other teams? or just the Cowboys?

Dont answer that. If you watched other teams you would understand what I am saying.

Go back and look at how many 3rd and longs werent converted but then a first magically happened because of some weird penalty called against a Chiefs opponent. That is just one example.

Remember when Jerry was suing the league? And didnt want Goodell as commish? How many weeks did the Cowboys go without a hold called in their favour. With the highest rush win percentage in the league mind you.

There is videos on the Chiefs run last season.

What is up with your whole condescending tone of your posted towards me? All I asked was do you think parity against it was a simple yes or no question. I watch more than the Cowboys play which is why I asked you what I did lol. But of course I don’t watch every team like I do the Cowboys…

I don’t believe in tinfoil crap because if it was rigged Cowboys would not get kicked out of the first round every year.

You dont?

Why dont you go take a look at the calls that ended the season for the Cowboys when they actually were in a position to win.

It may seem like they constantly shoot themselves in the foot. Which they obviously do.

But some of the calls, like the Butler call years ago that hadnt been called since the 70s make you think.

Call me a conspiracy theorist all you want, but I have been right about many conspiracies in the last 5-8 years than I have been wrong.

Parity doesn't have the affect that most people think it does. In fact next to talent on the football team an organization needs a competent GM, front office and talent evaluators.

As far as the refs and stuff, there will always be a degree of chance and luck involved in it. The best organizations find a way to overcome and mitigate some of this. Average orgs like the Cowboys wonder why the ball rarely if ever bounces their way.

Yahoo sports is probably one of the worse.

National writers who try to drill deep typically miss the mark. Tyler Smith to LT? Never going to happen absent a devastating string of injuries.

Defense failed, "particularly" due to Parsons four-game injury? What about Williams and D-Law practically missing the entire season? What about Diggs, Overshown, and Bland?

Improvement on the offensive line is a "burning question?" Three 1st round picks in the last four drafts? All 24 years old or younger? Two starters entering their 2nd season? With a new OC who was a former, highly successful O-line coach?

Again, barring devastating injury, O-line improvement is the surest bet on the makeup of this team.
