Yea, I'm cursed when it came to jerseys, minus my Witten ones.

Authentic Roy Williams (31): Starts to suck
Dat Nguyen jersey: messes up his neck the following year.
Romo jersey: gets injured against the Giants the following week
Newman jersey: gets cut at the end of the year.

God forbid if I were to buy a Lee jersey.

Why dont you start buying jerseys of our NFC East rivals players . . . . . . . ?

$300 plus s/h for a nylon shirt is why people buy knock offs in the first place.

You are paying for the branding. The Cowboys get a share, the NFL gets a share and the player gets a portion. Knockoffs you are paying for A.The Fabric B. Supporting unethical sweatshops that have no worker rights.

Look up Mike Mosh for all your jersey needs. Great quality and better pricing

You think the NFL listens to the average fan.
The owners will only listen when the TV ratings go down and their income flow goes in reverse.

If that happens - and that's a big if, jersey sales will be the lease of the owners concerns.

So I'm sure most of us have seen the commercials on NFL network with Michael Irvin that go against buying counterfeit/chinese/taiwanese/etc jerseys as opposed to official ones. And I'm sure it is costing them some money as I know a ton of people who buy their jerseys from aliexpress for under $25 (myself included a couple times, just to see what they're like), but their shops online, for a league as massive as the NFL, leaves alot to be desired.

For the Cowboys in particular, I was willing to spend some money to get a nice, official jersey or two for the upcoming season (and for my buddy too who's a massive fan but doesn't have the funds to get an official shirt). When I checked both sites, the only options they had for embroided jerseys were Romo, Witten, Lee, Dez, Murray and for some reasons multiple variations of Miles Austins (really? Its been more than a year since he was cut and he was never a legend or anything here) which was at a 'sale' price of $65ish. However I was looking to get a Frederick one for myself and a Zach Martin one for my buddy, but the only option is an overpriced 'custom' jersey with screen print names/numbers, something that looks very cheap and I wanted to avoid. So two young, pro-bowl players on our teams don't even have an actual jersey on the website. Neither did Hardy, our biggest off-season aquisition in a decade.

So my options if I want the player jersey of my choice is to get a screen print jersey (not even a Nike one, but some other variation) for $140ish CDN....there is no option for me to get an embroided one. And the only way to get that is through aliexpress/counterfeit, and it'll probably cost me about $30 at most. If the NFL doesn't want people to buy fake, they should atleast offer the abililty to buy a non screenprint version on their websites. This sort of 'store' would be acceptable for the CFL, not a mutli-billion dollar empire like the NFL.

The OP is entirely correct. The NFL shop, particularly for Dallas, is a joke and a ripoff. It would not be difficult at all to make jerseys to order [given the cost and shipping times], and to offer every single current player name/number on the roster (not to mention throwback players) in a variety of styles/variations. The prices are nothing short of a robbery and yet the loyal fan will pay it if they just offer a respectable & reliable product. They could over produce Romo, Witten, etc. jerseys to meet demand and not create unnecessary surplus of one-year wonder types (Austin, etc.). They should even have every jersey template available from years past for custom throwback orders. I gave up on them back when they cancelled the alternate (white) throwback thanksgiving jersey for custom screenprinted orders. Kinda stupid if you ask me- if you have it available, make it available.

P.S.- What the crap is up with the MARVEL/Dallas Cowboys collabo gear? I mean, the Marvel brand is fun... but it has nothing absolutely nothing to do with football or the Cowboys. Just kinda weird.

Hey, there's an OGLETREE jersey on sale for only $75.00! LOL

Get your Claiborne jersey before they're sold out- $99.99.

:lmao:

The pro sports team merchandise is so over priced, for the most part I only buy it when it goes on sale, if I buy it at all anymore. I probably buy one hat a year and one t-shirt. I stopped buying jerseys as the player seems to be gone in 3 to 4 years.

Again, jerseys are. T-shirts can be had for $20 or less if you're cool wearing last year's stuff.

Example for you from my previous post on page 1: this is my go-to shirt as of last year*. It's modern enough that it looks like new gear, but it's got the throwback royal blue color. Timeless - you can wear a shirt like this every year for 20 years and never go out of style.

$31.99 on the Cowboys Shop. If you wear it more than 30 times in one year, it's paid for itself ($1 per wear? Not bad.)

A $99.99 jersey is never worth it, especially since once they start to wear, they look like trash. If a t-shirt like this starts to get a little broken in, it looks vintage and cool like my original grey Dallas Cowboys t-shirt. I'll post a pic later.

No, they're not. @Muhast used to work in the sportswear industry and if you are even remotely details-oriented, the differences are stark. I can spot a knock off without looking that hard.

I should have been more specific. Without someone being so close to me that I can feel them mouth breathing on me, you cant tell the difference.

And the small stitching difference that may or may not be present isn't worth the real stark difference, about 100$.

No shot they're lying. There's a big difference in the knockoffs. That's why they're knockoffs lol

If the name is accurately spelled, the number is correct and the color scheme is right, there isn't much else that can be wrong... I can live with the name on the back being size 11 font instead of size 10.5.

99% of people couldn't spot the difference between the two jerseys.

I understand that, but charging 5-10x the actual cost of the materials is exorbitant imho. If the NFL really wanted to cut down on counterfeit jersey sales they could do so tomorrow by lowering the prices of authentic jerseys to something like $150-$200. They fact that they don't is proof that the league isn't as concerned about piracy as they claim to be.

I've seen jerseys with full on font/numeral differences, but whatever.

Like I said...buy t-shirts, hoodies, long-sleeve tees, etc. They last much longer and you're not wearing another grown man's name on your back.

There's a lot more you can tell on it but whatever man. Whatever floats your boat
