Can only blame Tyron's play on father time wearing on his body. Some of his holds are "BS" calls because he pancakes the defender to the ground. I saw several of the O-lineman when their arms rose up on leverage and ended up around the opposing players neck. That was not holding 10 years ago but the Refs are calling it now.

I think the O-line does better gap-blocking on running plays by allowing the tackle and guard to pull and the center to get to the second level and get a block on the Mike LB. It is the old "counter trey" That Lombardi had success with GB then later Riggins made this famous. It wears a defense down.

I think for the blocking to improve Dak has to fire the ball downfield like he did against Washington during the 4th quarter.

Winning solves everything and Cooper should open up the passing game and help the run. When the defense rolls the single high safety to Coop's side of the field with the Lb shading Dak should take a few deep shots. This will back teams out of the box.

You can fire him send a message that this type of production will not be tolerated but it's a little late in the game to switch scheme and technique. The problem was with the hiring which is another epic fail on Garrett and the Brain Trust. Hindsight is 20/20 but he should be the first one packing when the season ends.

Mistakes for $400 please
 
I find it incredulous that anyone outside of those the offices and practice field and film rooms can shed any light with any confidence on any position coach's performance. The only bottom line that can be assessed is the top dog head honcho and his defensive and offensive lieutenants because their work is on full display during games. That's just how I see it.

Am I wrong?

Please reveal how you know if it is the coaching or lack of execution by the players. Past history doesn't mean squat in this.

JUst curious if you are finding a scapegoat or you have some inside information which shows that a different scheme would get these guys playing better.

Yep, you are. Anyone with a trained eye can look at footwork, technique and effort. All these are a direct reflection of their position coach.
 
You can't blame a first year coach for injuries and player decline/turnover

How does Dak having to fire the football down the field more actually improve pass blocking itself for the Oline?

Pass blocking is pass blocking, no matter what your QB and WRs are doing during each play. You either do your job well and win your pass blocking matchups... or you don't.

It's very simple for linemen. Do your job and win your battles.

We should not be at the point of "Father Time" when it comes to Tyron. He should be in the prime of his career. Now if he has back issue that's one thing. But he's not too old to play the position.
 
After Dak gets pressured a couple times he goes into panic mode. No offensive line can protect good enough to relieve his fears. Bad pocket awareness makes this even worse. Clean pockets and no pressure and he does okay. Once pressured a couple times and it's full panic mode.
 
I did not like the hire when it was announced, too old and been around too long...New blood please. I like Columbo...

Most NFL quarterbacks watches the pass rush once they get hit in the mouth a couple of times.. Thats league wide.

apparently thats the issue execution but is the new training techniques interfering
