It's going to be a long off-season. I suspect many threads like this to come. :)

The only way I would entertain the thought of signing someone like Maclin is if the Cowboys franchise Dez, another team signs Dez, and the Cowboys don't match but take the two 1st rd picks. Then, I would be on board with signing a FA WR. I highly doubt any of that would happen with Dez and the franchise and Dallas.

While your at it why don't you also sign Randall Cobb.

Dez, Maclin, and Cobb... with T. Williams and Beasley in the #4 and #5 WR positions.

Go 5WR every play of every game.

16-0 Superbowl. Romo throws for 6000 yards and 59 TDs.

;)

This thought was funny till I thought about it. Sign me up lol

I refuse... REFUSE... to take Cole Beasley off the field in 3-WR sets.

So the "Williams as our #3 WR" stuff isn't working for me. Pass on Maclin.

And we'll have AP in the backfield when we want to use him?! What a monstrous offense. And just think to go along with that beast offense we'll have Suh (6 years, 360 million), Darelle Revis from a trade (50 7th round picks), and JJ Watt from a trade (Tony Romo, but it was really Brandon Weeden in a Romo jersey). #STEAL!

I'm calling it now, 23-0! :flagwave:

I think Jerry needs to really try and sign Maclin. He's turning 27 soon, and is in his prime. Plus, he was a deadly punt returner in college.

Steal from the enemy is my motto.

Just listen before you scream:

Signing Maclin will put a dagger in the plans of the Iggles. They have Matthews and Riley Cooper. Then nothing else, That will force them to use an early draft pick on another receiver, instead of CB or FS.

Signing Maclin will open things up for Dez beyond belief. TWill can be our #3, and that is scary good.

Plus, having a core of WR's like that will allow this team to get by with an average RB, i.e., Randle and Dunbar. Think about it, teams will be focusing on the pass because they have to.

Defense should be addressed in the draft.

I don't think Maclin will break the bank, and he proved last year that his knee issues are behind him.

You lost me at your avi. That jewel is spooky. lol

lol, this has got to be a joke. We have our guys to pay and holes to fill at other positions. WR is not a need especially not at his price tag. Are we just saying what ever is on our mind? lol, let's sign JJ Watt

Silly. We're not spending big money on an offensive player not named Dez, hence why Murray is all but long gone. Spend the money on the defense.

I'm with you OP. If you can get maclin for a good price, he's a QB friendly WR. Great route runner.

And there is a possibility of getting him for the right price.

He's only had a good year in a production friendly system and most know his numbers are inflated because of that (like Riley cooper last year). And has a history of injuries.

Not totally crazy, but not the priority. Would take this guy in a heartbeat over Williams.

We either need a speedster or tactician opposite Dez. Williams, though I like him, is neither.
