I don't see it on the Cowboys site, but he tweeted that he's signed to Dallas. Looks like the Cowboys are trying to get some info from him I guess. Anybody ever heard of him?

His Wikipedia page says he was elevated from the Practice Squad to the active roster on 11/21/13. Maybe he was kept on the active roster for the requisite 3 weeks, put back on the Practice Squad, and we grabbed him today.

Just watched some highlights on youtube. He's tall and looks like a guy they could keep around for camp next season. Maybe they felt like they needed another receiver active since Williams may not play.

We actually signed a guy who has been with the Commanders preparing for the Cowboys. Shanahan isn't going to be happy about that, which is good.

I found a little blip that was put up at the Commanders site two hours ago which says Lewis was waived by the Commanders to make room for someone they had a waiver claim in on named J.D. Dalton.

good kid. Been with us for a couple years. UDFA and PS type. Above 6 foot, reasonable speed and heart. Some return experience.

I assume this was an intel pickup (good for you and good for him). Unfortunately, we would have probably kept him if we knew a day earlier that Reed (our pretty good rookie TE) would be IRed for persistent concussion.

Is there a way to delete my avatar picture? I never put the mascot up as my avatar. Blank would be fine with me.

First, you'll need to find a new avatar that is at least 200X200 pixels, copy it to your desktop, then click on your handle on the upper right part of the page, choose "Avatar" from the drop down menu, and change it. (Rowdy is the default avatar.)

Let's see, the last two teams that we faced had real trouble defending the run. Maybe he can provide inside information confirming that Washington is below average in rushing defense so that we can comfortably abandon the running game in the 2nd half again.

This x-player thing has worked really well for us this year, no reason not to continue.

Is that considered career threatening for Reed? And was that something he had trouble with in college? Tough luck if so.

1. Reed had concussion issues in college as well as a leg problem in OTA/preseason. I never expected him to be so good, but he was actually have a close to pro bowl season as a rookie TE. He is an ex QB. Who knows his long term prognosis, but he is failing on our other Reed's main ability. AVAIL-ability. Basically, concern remains in the fanhood on his long term prognosis. Not sure he will bust or anything...just opening an extra question.

2. I'm actually much more scared of Dallas/Romo/Dez in the passing game. I would stick to it and just do occasional draws or the like with Murray. If you go run heavy (for instance, run heavy like Washington...over 50% of your plays type), we will stifle that no problem. We are actually decent against the run and if you commit to the run, you're actually committing to the one facet of defense we're better at. Our secondary sucks and you should go after our safeties and nickel corner instead. Amerson is VERY susceptible to double moves and has given up a lot of touchdowns. Wilson has also had some issues this year (I think he is a little dinged up.) I would run 3+ wideouts against us. That will give us fits. Harris has been very good against us.

Lance came to ECU as a juco. QB at the time was Dominique Davis, now with the Falcons.

He shields well for the fade and is an overall decent college receiver. Dwayne Harris was the "man" during that time. Lewis added that "big WR" dimension for ECU at the time. I quoted " big WR" because he is not big by nfl standards, but filled that role as an end zone threat in college. I hope he finds a niche and can hang on the roster.

Evidently there is a scout in the organization that follows the Pirates. Hoping they will look at CHris Johnson and Linval Joseph in the off season.

Where did Armstrong go? I thought we had him in preseason.

This would be the time for him to play

Is Anthony Armstrong still playing for you all? I was really sad to see him go. Very cool dude. Humble and natural. Coached youth soccer (I kid you not) in his off time, in the area. Just figure out how to coach him up to beat the jam (or motion him to avoid it) and he will be a serious threat (is fast downfield). I miss him. Really good nature.

Do you like my new avatar? Pretty badass, no? (Are we allowed to say "badass" here?)

Anyways...having 3 people with identical avatars is an issue. Better to have it blank or something.

Not that I would wander into a new forum, criticize the rules, get banned, etc. (Oh...snap.)

P.s. Watching Jackie Brown on Amazon Prime (free streaming). Grier has got a real rack of lamb. Love all the banter too.

Oh...just to show I'm not only negative feedback: the little alerts on people liking your messages and such is badass (I am allowed to say that). Seriously, kudos. I really think Wikipedia (I kid you not) should look into more of this social media reward mechanism and interaction and the like. Kudos.

Oh...don't get the wrong idea, that I am kissing your badass. I love me some George Allen. And Calvin Hill ripping down the Cowboys posters after beating them.
