They didn’t even attempt to sign him (Rogers) to the practice squad from what I could gather.
Regardless, Phillips had primarily been the back up at the 3tech. Don’t see much chance of Rogers being effective in that role in any capacity!

He is a former Cowboy player......this is part of the problem IMO. They DO NOT like bringing in players who have no connection to the team and/or coaches.

They want players that have been pre-softened

I like the signing....Watkins won't get pushed 10 yards back from the line of scrimmage like the last guy did. But he's not the answer. I'd say if we were a one with the guy who got hurt. We're a 3 now out of 10....Hey?? Gotta take any improvement we can get now

Hmmm… guessing if you’re a 6-7th round pick and you can utilize basic reasoning skills you realize that you’re a fringe player in this league and are happy that you at least got that small crack of the door opening by being picked!

We picked up another teams cut for the Practice Squad and didn’t make an effort to sign him to it.
31 other teams saw his preseason performance and no one saw a player worthy of an active roster spot.
Maybe, might want to resign yourself to the reality that he’s not currently an NFL caliber player and that the “actual professional” coaching staff on this team didn’t think he was worth the effort of trying to develop into one!

Our DT's last week were being pushed back 10 yard... Nothing any coordinator can do with this...We need DOGGSSS at Defensive tackle. Right now, we have milk sucking puppies. We need DOGS at running back. Never seen a Dallas team so less talented at running back as we have now. One great wide-receiver one "maybe" good rookie they won't play. One good tight end that's hurt. So, why some are talking one spot and blaming one spot. The blame should be going to the idiot's that put this team together. If CeeDee goes down or any other starter anywhere minus safety-we're pretty screwed. Take a bow front office....

Surprisingly, Carolina could trade him this offseason and not have the dead cap exceed the cap hit by that much.
They just re-signed him.

Would assume they would want a 1st+.
