And Edgar Jones played for Kansas City weeks earlier. Curious

Really they traded a draft pick for him

as far as Nevis goes he is just a defensive lineman on a new 3-4 team and has been there for all of 2 weeks if that.........doubt he would be of anymore help than a scout

Just a thought. But Cowboys signed Bosworth right before we played the Giants. Chargers cut Nevis last week, and we're heading to SD. SMART or COINCIDENCE??

Hm, you might be on to something here.

Chase Blackburn pretty much shut NYG's offense down on his own yesterday for the Panthers because he knew NYG's offense like the back of his hand.

It's probably just a coincidence, but that's pretty funny. If we sign an ex Bronco next week though... lol

You may have missed the regime change that took place during the 2011-2012 offseason. You know, the one that replaced Bill Polian and Jim Caldwell with Ryan Grigson and Chuck Pagano? The one that resulted in a change from a 4-3 under, cover two scheme to a 3-4 defense?

Yes big changes that make a great player a street FA late Sept

With the injuries to two of the guys we were counting on to man the line this season, I certainly have no problem with the coaches continuing to churn in linemen until they find the ones who can help the most. If Nevis doesn't work out, he can go the way of Cohen and (probably) Long and Dallas can try another one.

He's probably a victim of a scheme change. Sort of like Lissemore but other way around.

I think that’s the case.

And the way Marinelli’s has managed to take other people’s cast off’s (Hayden, Selvie etc.) and turn them into productive players on our line, I wouldn’t bet against him doing something similar with Nevis.

Well if Spencer is out for the year now, he can take his roster spot.

IRVING, Texas -- Five days after working him out, the Dallas Cowboys signed defensive tackle Drake Nevis on Tuesday, according to a source.

To make room for Nevis, the Cowboys released defensive lineman Jerome Long, who was among the team’s final cuts but re-signed on Sept. 7 and played in the first three games. Long did not record a tackle in limited playing time.

I think Nevis is a good signing. When they IR Spencer, I think you will see Sterling Moore or Micah Pellerin take his spot.

Open spot in the roster, wonder if they still like Thaddeus GIbson who was one of the final cuts at DE. He has some burst and pass rushing skill.
