I wonder if their plan is to give all the young players some snaps to evaluation them. That's what I'd do. Mingo and Flournoy would be getting lots of playing time if it was up to me. I would want to know what I have going into the offseason.

Agreed especially when the boys get eliminated from playoff contention. I get the reluctance while they are still mathematically trying to get in the coaches will want to play the veterans.

Obviously, he must be exceptional otherwise he would have been playing for that top ranked defense the Bengals have.

No way. One guy does the GM work and the others decide who is too expensive. We sit here and wonder why their ‘plan’ makes no sense. Has to be one vision to give the staff the players they need, not three.

It certainly feels that way. We've been snakebit in so many different ways over the years when it looked like we were close to getting over the hump. Of course, the primary snake doing the biting is Jerry, so a lot of the wounds have been self-inflicted.
