I'm pretty sure the Jones pair read the fan boards about six months to a year too late.

Then again, when Garrett wanted to look at kickers last year, Jerry chimed in with...."no we wont. Just because a kicker misses field goals doesnt mean you change kickers."

Ok Jerry.

I think its a wrap for jones

no team is going to carry 2 punters unless one is a KOS

Jones needs someone to lighten the practice load with all of the in-game kicks he's doing now.

The first team to utilize 2 punters. That would make sense at this point! Imagine the fakes they can draw up?

At this point I wouldn't even punt anymore.

Just run the ball 4 times and see if we get 1st downs.

QB sneaks, bootlegs.

No passing. That's how our QB's are getting injured.

Antwuan Woods at FB sprinkled in with Dontari Poe and Trysten Hill.

Tank can be the QB since he's getting paid like one.

What's it going to be then, eh?

You just don't know football.

When the entire building is burning down around you, the first thing you want to do is make sure you have a reserve punter and sometime kickoff specialist to help you out.

This is how championship teams are built.

I don't know why people are being negative about the signing just because it's the punter position instead of "more important" positions. You've gotta be churning and searching at all positions.

For all we know, this could be a repeat of when we signed McBriar to our practice squad in late 2003, and it proved to be a good addition as he took the punter position the next year and he held down the position for the 8 years (with averages that were routinely much better than the guy he replaced). If you remember, 2003 was the first Parcells season where we were winning mostly on the strength of possession and defense... yet our punter was a real weak link. Toby Gowin was averaging fewer than 40 yards per punt for the first time in his career, and we were bleeding field position every time he punted. We'd have actually been better off cutting him and switching to McBriar immediately instead of waiting for the next year. Still have zero idea why we gave Toby Gowin such a long leash in 2003.

We're 2-5 and looking down the barrel of a 3-13 season. Let us have our fun!

I am very impressed with your in depth knowledge of the Dallas punter history.

I regret to inform you that it just doesn't matter when your offense and defense are hemorrhaging.
