You’re not getting it. How does playing Dalton help them tank for lawrence? If you want to tank for Lawrence you play Cooper rush. Not a guy like Dalton who has a decade worth of starting experience.

Except they showed no interest in wanting to re-sign Byron. It's pretty obvious they want press CBs who intercept the ball. And they have plenty of salary cap room if they wanted to keep him.

He just did the same thing Dak did. Wanted top dollar for his position when he was nowhere near it. I think they did want to keep him just not at his price.

Actually, nice to finally run a franchise the right way. Every team needs a quality backup QB. One who can win if needed in spot duty. Ask the Saints if it was smart to sign Bridewater last season, all he did was go 5-0 when Brees went down.

I'm with but just for arguments sake if they got a 1st rounder for Dak that's some good ammo to move up. Won't happen though, I think the Cowboys didn't learn from last season they aren't anywhere close to a super bowl.
