I'm sure that we won't see him in the line up for weeks, correct?

I'm assuming Smith is the back up and Turbin is 3rd with Trent Williams the change of pace. The way we take our time bringing guys up to speed I doubt we see Turbin for a couple weeks.

Living close to Cleveland, the Brown's radio hosts were calling this kid a workhorse and said he should have been the starter from day one. However, there's a huge battle going on between the GM & head coach and the GM is demanding that the team play the young kids. The young kids HE drafted. So, Turbin wasn't going to see the field, much to the dismay of the head coach. Not saying he'll do anything here. Just saying he's more than just a 'body' if given the chance. My two cents.

Thanks for sharing the info, always appreciated!

Good local observations. There does seem like a tug of war going on in Cleveland.

Sounds like this was Pettine, even though he said "we". Odd things there, he sounds like he hates Manziel, now he is starting, probably on orders from upstairs, maybe via Tweet from Farmer, who knows.

“To me, the timing of it for us was we knew that there were other teams interested and that being where we were in the claiming order. We could have let him potentially clear and then try to recruit him and sign him or let him on his own but you’re competing with 30 other teams essentially for that. We think enough of him that that wasn’t something that we were willing to risk, that ‘hey, we have a chance to get him here, let’s get him here.' He’s downhill. When you watch him play he is physical. You talk about playing with an attitude, that’s the way he is. When you go down the list of attributes what we’re looking for in a running back, and then also just the bonus part of it is the person that we’re bringing to the room – nothing but positive opinions on how he is in the locker room, in the meeting room, on the practice field – it was just a move that we felt was best for us. Given where we were when we looked at our running back room, given our circumstances and having always been a Robert Turbin fan, just admiring how he plays and the mentality he takes to the field, that was an opportunity that we felt we couldn’t pass up.”

Decent player. Not much better than what we have. Won't start over Mcfadden imo. Have to wonder why in the world he was cut by the browns?

LB Nzeocha, CB Olatoye, RB Turbin and Romo, the four additions to the roster, per twitter Fisher

Literally the only footage I could find quickly on the cornerback. He went to NC A&T to close out his career, but apparently was with the Buffaloes at some point.

They cut him to sign a backup lineman. Played in three games, did have a fumbling issue, fumbled twice in one game versus Arizona.

I am indifferent. He's a body. Was not much in Cleveland this year.

Good size at 222 pounds. Apparently, not much of a breakaway threat, but has had a couple of decent years with around 80 carries per year. (Seems to be hit and miss there, though, averaging more than 4 yards per carry two years and under 4 YPC his second year.)

You think you're the Seahawks? I know the Seahawks. You ain't the Seahawks.

But, seriously, is there a personal connection on that team (rb coach, etc.)?

I would prefer us to bring in their DBs.

Funny thing, Romo said he'd rather he line them up on the field and execute than someone run a bad route or mis read the defense on a option route. I think he dresses Sunday..

Tony at it again, coaching when others won't :):)
