If nothing else, biggest arms I've ever seen on someone of his stature. If a fight broke out between him and David Buehler, the universe would probably explode.

Did 28 BP reps at the 2012 combine, and has gotten thicker since then.
Ran a 4.5 40, and 7.16 3-cone. 36" vertical, 10'2" broad.
Strong and powerful downhill, but with very quick feet and lateral moves.
Can catch and run well out of the BF.

Knock on him is sub-par pass blocking. (uh-oh)

Turbin is very different from the other backs we have taken a flyer on. First, he is a proven commodity as a back-up and as a blocker. Second, he is a legitimate power back who can move a pile and pick up a first. This is the kind of back most of us were clamoring for to pair with Dunbar and McFadden/Randle. Now we have one. I am 100% on board with this addition.

Our fascination with Seattle RBs continues.

JJones has always been a follower. That led to his fascination with the 3-4, Quincy Carter and a dozen other mistakes. He even followed his Joey Galloway debacle with his Roy Williams fiasco.

Most RBs are deficient in their pass blocki skills coming out of college. I'm hoping he might have improved upon that tendency during his career. If not, we can expect to see him very sparingly, much like we did with C-Mike.

There was nothing wrong with the 3-4. That was installed by Parcells and carrying it forward was not a detriment.

You could say the switch back to the 4-3 was another case of being manipulated by the latest trend. I still remember the idea we were going to have a "Seattle" defense when Monte Kiffin was hired.

It was when we didn't have the personnel for it and then we switched back with DWare and Spencer.

Like I said he is forever reacting and never leading the way and that even shows in our coaching. We don't attack weaknesses.

He should have followed SEA and resigned our version of Beast Mode and we wouldn't be in this mess.

I know when I went to the Seachickens to study Michael, a lot of fans were frustrated that Turbin got playing time over him. Apparently he is a very good blocker. If he is used in a third down role he could helps us a lot. DMC hasn't been good in that regard. Everyone else is gone.

Unreal!! I went to high school with him and see him during the summers back at home (Bay Area), just sent him a text congratulating him I can't believe this! The Cowboys are lucky to have him on the team, literally the polar opposite of Jo Randle / Chris Mike persona. He is character personified. I've never met anyone more humble, nor someone who has more work ethic than Robert Turbin. I hope he is a Cowboy for many years! This is fantastic news!! WOW!

2 fumbles in 249 attempts over 4 years. 1 fumble in every 124.5 attempts doesn't seem too alarming to me. Maybe he coughed it up during camp, but he hasn't shown that on game day. Montgomery only coached Turbin for one year so I'd assume the "I didn't know him well" comment stemmed from their short tenure together rather than Turbin's inability to hold on to the pigskin.

Ouch. "I barely knew the guy." Ha ha. Usually, at least a player's position coach will stick up for his guys.

Read the quote I posted earlier from Pettine. He said Montgomery was familiar with the player.

Paving the way for us signing Lynch after Seattle releases him.

Problem is, he'll turn into Eddie George.

Man, I'm feeling a little snarky today

Could happen. Lynch is under contract for three more years I think. We might get him for 2017.

They can cut him next Spring and save 6.5m in cap space. 9m if they June 1st cut him. He has no more guaranteed money coming.
