Signed by Cowboys Cowboys sign WR Parris Campbell

27 year old WR who couldn’t get mush play time due to Devonte Smith and AJ Brown. That’s a poor indictment. This kid ran a 4.31 40 at the combine in Indy.
I’ll take him over Tolbert and Brooks any day as depth with potential. How much play time would Tolbert have had in Philly.

We all want a big time frontline starter opposite Lamb. This guy isn’t it, but if he pushes any of those other bums who can’t separate off the roster, then this is a good signing.
Taking a closer look at his numbers, it appears that some of his failure to put up decent stats is just a lack of playing time.

In four of his six seasons, he has appeared in seven games or fewer. In the one where he played in all 17 games, starting 16, he caught 63 passes for 623 yards. In his one season with the Giants, though, he caught only 20 in 12 games.

... OK, I looked it up: His first season he missed two games with a sports hernia and four with a broken hand and then was placed on injured reserve in Week 14 with a broken foot; the next season, he had six receptions for 71 yards in the first game then tore his PCL and ACL and missed the rest of the season; in 2021, he was on IR most of the season. No time missed for injury since then that I can find, starting with his big final season in Indy.

Looks to me like skill isn't the issue; staying healthy is. I'm not sure what happened to him in New York after his strong final season in Indy, but in Philly, it seemed like he wasn't given a chance at much of a role.

I guarantee you that Golden and Egbuka will start day one in the NFL. First round rookies have been producing in year one for years now.
No I’m not saying they won’t start. Lamb started his rookie year. What I’m saying is this team needs starters. To me a DT or a DE or a RB that can start right now are more important than a number 2 or 3 receiver. Because mind you Lamb is gonna get his touches…..running backs gonna get there’s….

Really strange that a serious football fan wouldn't be familiar with an Ohio State receiver.
I never watch Ohio State unless they are behind with a chance to lose…their fans are the most obnoxious bunch of trash ever to breathe air!!!

I am not sure about this one…
I feel a little better about giving him a chance after digging into his career a bit. The main concern is injuries. They derailed his first three seasons in Indianapolis. Then, when he stayed healthy for a season, he put up No. 2 receiver numbers (63 catches, 623 yards).

He left in free agency, and I'm not sure what happened to him with the Giants. He played in 12 games but put up poor numbers. Then, after that poor season, he ended up in Philly bouncing between its PS and roster since the Eagles already were pretty much set at receiver.

I'm not really sure he's gotten a good shot at replicating the numbers he put up in his final year in Indy, but I'm not sure if he could stay healthy if he got that chance.

Camp body with special teams possibility. I don't see him playing much
