Butler caught some balls for us last year and has been humbled.
As stated above who is released?

Smells of desperation
Pure desperation...….For every good play by Brice, you'll get 2 or 3 to begin the head scratching. He is a journeyman WR for a reason. This will be patchwork from the FO.

How is Brice Butler someone that would be signed out of desperation, as if the Cowboys have suddenly and inexplicably decided Butler is their last, best hope to save the receiving group? Desperation would be making a trade and giving up a draft pick they didn’t want to, or caving and giving a bigger contract than they want to a player that was asking too much, not signing a free agent to a cheap contract

….if he's all that.....why'd he end up with the Cardinals and being released? Why is he still available? Why?

Who said he was “all that”? The roster is made up of 53 players, and they aren’t and can’t all be standouts, and not every player signed is expected to be a standout. Many are signed to upgrade general depth, or add some small element.

...then why was he let go in the first place?

Younger and better no risk player, Breshad Perriman and he goes to the skins.

Players go to the Commanders when their careers are over. Not too many reclamation projects in D. C. BTW, only 55K fans showed up for the Commanders home opener. That team impresses no one at this point.

But we mean higher ceiling very young, Matthews is 26 and out there, he killed us to end a game, Corey Coleman back in the market.

lol - exactly because they didn't and don't think he's "all that". As for why they are thinking about bringing him back, maybe somebody they kept isn't working out as well as hoped, or maybe they are thinking Williams is going to get suspended for his incident in the offseason - who knows. But it's certainly not because all of a sudden they had an epiphany that he is a top level player.
