Adam Schefter reports that the Cowboys are signing veteran RB
Ronnie Hillman to a contract.
Schefter adds that this could be an indication of concern that an NFL decision regarding possible discipline for RB
Ezekiel Elliott could be coming.
Hillman just recently worked out for Dallas along with
Denard Robinson.
Hillman, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Broncos back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract before re-signing with Denver on a one-year, $2 million contract this past April. However, the Broncos cut him loose at the start of last season.
The Vikings later signed him to a contract after sustaining some injuries at running back. However, he was waived and claimed by the Chargers soon after.
In 2016, Hillman appeared in eight games for and ran for 131 yards on 41 carries (3.2 YPC) to go along with seven receptions for 93 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
