I would rather have Hillman and rookie with upside and STs than AMorris

Try to trade AMorris or use him up during the preseason

If he sticks, its an upgrade over Dunbar at least.
He's more fluid and elusive than both Morris and DMC--which isn't saying a ton.

Agreed. Been following Hillman for a while. He played high school ball down the road from me here in CA.

Although he had a more significant role in Denver than Dunbar did in Dallas, he probably can still be an upgrade from Dunbar production wise in that role (that's if the Cowboys use him enough). If anything, good insurance for the RB situation. Hopefully he shows enough to for us to keep him around.

Could be. Or it could be that Jahad Thomas cannot get on the field and there are five preseason games to get through.
If that were the case then why wouldn't they pick up an undrafted rookie? Wouldn't that be cheaper than picking up a vet? A zeke suspension is looming.

Already 3 different mediots on ESPN have said the signing was to insure against a suspension for EE

I hate these witchhunts that become self fulfilling prophecies....if enough people talk about it then Goodell will be forced to act....if not he will look like he letting EE off the hook for something he didn't do

Vets that can step right in on the passing downs and handle the pick-ups are worth their weight in gold

Morris was amazing in pads, looked better that Zeke by many accounts. He's definitely not "gone" and no worse that 3rd on the depth chart.

Interesting, I remember he looked great early last year too.

Note I said he looked better not that he actually is better, settled down with the troll move.

I wasnt trolling you. He really did look sharp the begining of last year. I remember wanting him in the game while Zeke was struggling with NY.

The timing on this was pretty good considering that RBs are going to have a bigger market with both Kenneth Dixon (Baltimore) and Devonte Booker (Denver) going down with injuries.

Dixon is out for the year and Booker is gone for 6-8 weeks.

It also might be time to see if anyone is interested in a trade for Morris.

Think Ravens would call for Morris here within the next few weeks especially if he looks strong in the preseason.

:espn:

Jane Slater was on NLFN this morning and clearly said that any possible suspension of EE had nothing to do with the Cowboys signing Hillman.
