Still on market:
On Thursday, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox named the Cowboys as a top remaining suitor for Washington Commanders outside linebacker/defensive end Dante Fowler, who played two years for the Cowboys from 2022 to 2023.
"The 30-year-old (Fowler) finished the 2024 season with 10.5 sacks and 20 quarterback pressures. Teams willing to roll the dice on an older defender who has never been a bona fide star could find themselves a steal," Knox wrote.
"While Fowler is a pass-rush specialist and less efficient against the run, he should interest any team seeking a disruptive edge defender. Though the Cowboys took a flier on Payton Turner on Tuesday, they should consider adding Fowler as a rotational rusher to complement Micah Parsons."
The 10.5 mark Fowler put up was the second-highest sack total of his career, trailing his 11.5-sack season in 2019 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played 52 percent of the Commanders' defensive snaps last season, compared to 30 and 25 percent in his two years as a Cowboy.
