Inspite of the loss to the Hawks' the Cowboys are still a team to respect and have cleaned up those things observed in the Giants game. It's interesting, because as sloppy as the Cowboys Played in the Giants Game -- resulted in a win that you probably should have lost. Retrospectively, a much cleaner Cowboys game against the Hawks' resulted in a loss that should have been a win.

I didn't want you to win this game against Seattle, but it was a win-able game that the COwboys let slip away. However, you still looked impressive enough for me to give you respect. No flames from me Cowboy fans. The NFCE is a tough place to live, but the best place in the NFL!

Nice words PT. A very disappointing loss for us. I think the converse is true for the Eagles. You folks had a play that happens once in a blue moon to win. Good special tams play.

Of course, opposing teams kicking success continues against the Cowboys. Frankly, the thing that bothers me most about yesterday's loss is that the Cowboys are finding ways to lose and that may not bode well for this season. No panic though, lots of football to go.

Thanks PT. That was a crazy win for the Eagles too. Great game to watch. San Diego is the best sub-.500 team that the NFL has had in quite a long time.

I disagree, both games were games that Dallas should have won. Remember, the Giants has LESS THAN 150 *total yards* until the last 3 minutes of the game. They were getting dominated and the only thing that was keeping them around were the 1st half turnovers. But, every time they got the ball they simply couldn't do anything with it. OTOH, Dallas moved it pretty well on offense, but kept coughing it up.

The Seattle game was a bit closer although I thought Dallas had *control* of the game. Dallas seemed to consistently move the ball for the most part where Seattle had a lot of 3 and outs. Even still Seattle needed a 55 and 51 yarder from their FG kicker along with a 28 yard missed by Cortez.

Sad thing is this team could very easily be 7-0 right now.

You know we aren't supposed to call other member's IDIOTS so I won't I'll just ask you where you come up with this crap. DB is one of the top rated QB's right now sure he's made some mistakes but he's better than we've had in many years so get off it already.

Good post PT.. These close games are killing me. Too many mistakes killed us yesterday!!! I don't know how many more of them My old ticker can take!!!!!

I am pleased with how well the "D" is playing... except for the last few minutes!

No D can win every game when the offense only scores 10 points a game. the boys defense played well, but when the other team has 50 chances at the end of the game to put it away, they probably are. The boys never finish off opponents, they let them hang around forever, and eventually any team can come back if youre only down 3-7 points a game. The boys need to score more points, its been this way since the mid to late 90's. Its going to take a draft in 06 like we had for teh defense in 05 to fix the offense. we need a huge infusion of talent on all facets of the offense. then we will have a real shot at a superbowl.

I think the Cowboys have to be pleased going 2-1 against teams that were a combined 12-4 in other games this season. They just faced 3 of the top teams in the NFC, and 3 of the top QBs in the NFC in McNabb, Manning and Hasselbeck, they had only been 2-2 in weaker opponents to start the season.

Yes, And even thought we won games we should have lost, and lost games we should have won. This is a learning process for a young team. I think they are ahead of schedule with the learning curve.

We have Arizona at home, a bye, @ Eagles, then a home game with Detroit. If we can go the 2-1 in those games and start the stretch run at 6-4. I think we should be happy with that, because no one, probably realistically even ourselves would not think that was truly possible at the beginning of the year.

please, dallas has played and played better than all 3 division teams. losing one at the end with luck still puts us at 2-1, id take that anyday over a luckfilled 1-0.

So when good teams do lose, they get blown out?

I think we are really missing JJ right now. We are playing conservative right now, and are doing it with medicore RB's. Barber looks like a nice backup, same for TT and A-Train.

I find it a little bit upsetting we aren't looking for Witten more. I hope JJ is back this week.

Depends on your definition of a "blow out." My statement was not an absolute and I realize you take offense to anyone critizing the Cowboys, but my statement stands. Good teams find ways to win close games.

Does that mean they never lose close games? Of course not .. it just means more times than not, if the game is close, they find ways to win it.

The Cowboys have now lost three winnable games and won three losable games. You appreciate statistics, so that's a .500 winning (or losing if you're a pessimist) percentage. To me, that's the sign of an average team.
