Cowboys/supplemental draft

[Verdict]

Does anyone know if the Cowboys made an attempt to snag a player in the supplemental draft? I know we didn't get a player in the draft. I was just curious.

I am a Jimmy Johnson fan. But selecting Troy Aikman #1 overall in the 1989 regular draft, then selecting Steve Walsh in the 1st round of the 1989 supplemental draft is a draft blunder that never gets talked about Yes, I know, Steve Walsh was later traded to New Orleans for a 1st round pick and the pick was recouped (sort of), except for the fact Dallas went 1-15 that year and would have been selecting at the top of the first round in 1990 with their "Steve Walsh" pick.

Traded Walsh for a first and a third round pick in 91 and a second round pick in 92, brilliant trade.....ask the Saints if they liked that trade!
