Yet another huge McCarthy blunder. Just add it to the list. They wouldn’t even give him a chance with the starters.
It’s like they were scared to death that he would either suck or be great, so they didn’t want to find out.
Once they resigned Dak they had no interest in seeing Lance with the starters.Yet another huge McCarthy blunder. Just add it to the list.
if Lance would have showed at least something of a decent QB, it could have held up negotiations for a few more weeks lolOnce they resigned Dak they had no interest in seeing Lance with the starters.
If he sucks then they’re fools for trading for him.
If he was great then they’re even bigger fools for signing the loser Dak.
They like the idea of not knowing better. Ignorance is bliss.
I'm not sure McCarthy had much of a choice. Honestly this is exactly why it was a terrible idea to let your coaching staff all play out their deals. With McCarthy and his entire staff about to be free agents the development of young guys starts to go out the window.Yet another huge McCarthy blunder. Just add it to the list.

I'd lean heavily to McCarthy didn't have the power to even make that decision. I remember that press conference where he basically stated he wished he could have played him but Jerry made him clean that up later onI'm not sure McCarthy had much of a choice. Very possible. Jerry is the one doing radio shows every week talking about who and why they were going with Rush. I would hope its McCarthys call, but we are all guessing.I'd lean heavily to McCarthy didn't have the power to even make that decision. It's a awkward process by FO.Why get him to come back when you only let him play the LAST game of the season!!!!!??? He's better off playing in that other league he's in, get some game film, and maybe that'll help him be a little something decent
Yeah, Trance's potential is so great, he has yet to get picked up by another team after almost a month into free agency. So many QB moves, trades and signings have happened, but not for Trance.Once they resigned Dak they had no interest in seeing Lance with the starters.

They wanted to win games. They went with the better player in Rush. If they wanted to tank then they should have went with LanceYet another huge McCarthy blunder. Just add it to the list.

They’d rather let Cooper Rush play and ruin our draft position because he can’t help but win games.
