They are tied with the New York Yankees and only $60M behind Real Madrid. (which is a drop in the bucket considering how quickly their value is rising, hell re-signing Dez might have changed it!)

1. Real Madrid $3.26 billion
2. Dallas Cowboys $3.2 billion
2. New York Yankees $3.2 billion
4. Barcelona $3.16 billion
5. Manchester United $3.1 billion
6. Los Angeles Lakers $2.6 billion
6. New England Patriots $2.6 billion
8. New York Knicks $2.5 billion
9. Los Angeles Dodgers $2.4 billion
9. Washington Commanders $2.4 billion

The Cowboys put some significant distance between them and the skins. I really would like to see the gap grow to $1B plus.

I figured the Giants would be in the top 10.

2012 with RG3 must of really made the skins relevant again. Because other than that, it baffles me how high they are.

You underestimate that fanbase, man. I grew up in that area and my parents have been living there now for 20 years. Those people there love them some Washingtons. My principal in middle school would sing the damn fight song over the announcements on Monday mornings after those freaks would win a game. All it did was make me wear my Cowboys gear even harder growing up. I hate that team more than I'll ever hate the Eagles or Giants.

I'm still a firm believer that the hogs are a social disease.

In short time, Cowboys will be number one in franchise valuation once they finish building the fan-central Frisco complex and winning the Super Bowl. It's pretty impressive we managed to retain this high of value especially not winning any championships for so long. Jerry must be doing something right!

CNN)Real Madrid might have failed to win its domestic championship for the third season in a row, but the Spanish soccer giant is still dominant globally on the financial front.
For the third year in a row, Real has been named the most valuable sports team in the world by Forbes -- fending off competition from American football and Major League Baseball.
The 10-time European champion is valued by the business magazine at $3.26 billion, while the NFL's Dallas Cowboys and MLB's New York Yankees are in joint second at $3.2 billion.
It's not all good news for Real, however, as its estimated value dropped by 5% over the past year.

Soccer isn't a sport

I have a bit more respect for women soccer, at least every time they get touched they don't act like they just suffered a major injury. Guys running around get touched and roll around on the ground in fake agony gets a bit old quickly

I doubt this has anything to do with RGIII. Washington has a long history and before Dallas and other cities in the south had teams those states had lots of fans who rooted for Washington.

The surprise to me is the Houston Texans. While they are not ranked in the top 10 they still are ranked fairly high. They don't have a long history and they haven't ever been a truly good team.
