I think it is time to slowly ease back on Witten and get other TE's involved. But, I am also worried to see what this offense would look like without him. He might be a progress stopper now but he also might still be integral to this lame offense. I don't know really...............

He can play as long as he wants as far as I am concerned as long as he produces.

How do so many posters on this forum call themselves Cowboys fans but seem to dislike every player on the team? I've heard terms such as "trash", "garbage", "overpayed", "unreliable", "no talent" ,etc to describe almost every player on this team. Now it's Witten being disrespected?

There is a lot of that, unfortunately. We all have players we don't like very much, but when it becomes such a significant portion of the team, you have to wonder what's going on in peoples' heads.

The Witten thing I've never understood. People have been wanting to declare him done for years, and it's been premature. He does appear to be slowing a bit now, finally, but for my money, it doesn't matter as much for Wit as it would for other players. He's always been slow, so being slower isn't a death knell. He still knows how to sit in the route and still has the soft hands and the smarts that make him such pita to everybody who tries to cover him. If teams are ok singling him with LBs, I'll take that all day long until the guy's pushing 40.
