Gurley or Tevin Coleman are my best 2 fits in this draft 4 the Cowboys and our offense

I agree with this but if Gordon were there and Gurley was gone, I take Gordon. Guy has home run ability any given play.

I'd take Malcolm Brown and one of the second tier running backs in the second round. Plan B would be take the best cornerback who actually is physical in coverage as our first pick.

I don't see Gordon falling to 27 and there's no way we trade up for a RB. I would prefer we trade down into the 2nd and grab either Ajayi or Coleman.

Not saying you're wrong, but as far as I can see a running back hasn't gone in the first round since 2012, so I'd be a bit surprised if Gurley or Gordon aren't there at the end of the round.

The Cowboys don't mess around with their visits. No smokescreens, history says we bring in guys we intend to draft.

This visit says a lot.

Yup, I think possibly the best value at 27 is running back. I wonder if we intend to trade Randle ?

This running back in the 1st round talk is ridiculous. First of all Randle and Dunbar were pretty amazing in limited action. Why they didn't get more opportunities? BLOCKING.

In the NFL your running back has to block block block block. It would be ridiculous to draft a RB that can't block. So that has to be a strong consideration. If Randle gets his blocking down, he has home run potential. So does Dunbar. They both showed it last year on multiple occasions.

So if anything we need a power back, a 3rd down back and a good blocker. We dont need a "home run hitter"

Ridiculous is passing on a top ten talent like Gurley in the first round if he fell to #27.

Randle and Dunbar do not have the size and power to be a feature back. The Cowboys seem to have trust issues with Randle and may be looking to replace.

Pass blocking is critical, along with inside running so I agree we need the power and size combo like a Gurley or Coleman.

Most of the other backs available have some burst and pass catching skills but lack power and inside rushing ability. They also are typically poor in pass protection due to size ( can not be taught) or desire.

Gordon could be more effective inside but certainly has the size and home run ability to make a difference. I do not prefer him to the other two mentioned because they have the size and power combo which we need!

I'd like to use the first for a DT. The way it sits right now, our secondary doesn't stand a chance until we can get some pressure on the QB.

Agreed and depending on how the board fell I wouldn't be shocked if we went DT ot at least DL in round 1.

The year the team said they needed secondary help they got Carr and Mo. This year Stephen says they need pass rushers and so far we've nabbed Hardy and I'm sure they'd love a value Dlineman at 27. Just depends on thier board, they've done enough to earn my faith.

Gordon is the best fit for our offense and it's not really debatable. If you think another RB is more talented its 1 thing, but I can promise you that there is no better transition to our offense than coming from Wisconsin.

Obviously no one knows until draft day, but I really don't see the value on defense at 27 unless someone falls. Won't surprise me at all to see Gordon the pick at 27 and I'd be perfectly fine at this point. I'd rather see them take a RB who knows the system and can make an impact on the team than reach on a guy just because he plays defense.

I was a big Gordon fan headed into the offseason.

Now I'm just not sure.. I watch him play and all I see is a guy taking exactly what the defense gives.

He doesn't really juke anyone or finish runs with power. His running in traffic is very meh.
Later tonight or tomorrow I'll post a few gifs that show he has absurd jukeability.

Probably doesn't matter because I assume he'll be taken before we pick. I think he's the best running back prospect in years.
