And why would they release him right now? How does that make sense? They'll try to get this situation fixed somehow, if that doesn't work )which it won't, based on the latest reports/comments from him) they'll try to trade him. If that doesn't work they'll wait until the last minute before they release him. They'd just do him a favor by releasing him now.

Because as I said, they like him. Reason they haven't released him. Guess I better go to a different thread. Since you have your mind made up he's Cowboy already. Peace.

Which isn't doing us any favors. It depends when he is released.

Unfortunately. If they know for sure he wants out it'll probably take a conditional draft pick to trade for him. It'll be interesting to see what happens the next few days/weeks.

Peterson has already lost plenty of money last year and if he's released then he will lose some more. Maybe he's the one pro athlete that doesn't care about money. If we can get him cheap then okay. Also it depends when the Vikings release him. If they don't release him before the draft and we don't have Murray then we have to draft a RB. We can't go into next season with our backups.

Incorrect, IIRC, Peterson was on the commissioners exempt list (as was Hardy). They both collected their full pay for the season.

He moved the chains last season which was huge with our defense.

I like Murray. I do. I just don't think he is worth what he might be asking for. I don't see a Leveon Bell, Jamal Charles, AP ect type of explosion in him. He's good, and the O-line makes him even better, but I still wouldn't pay him a big chunk.

Honestly, I really wouldn't be heart broken if we lost him. Only 2 guys on this roster would make me throw my hands up, and say man, this might be the end. Dez, and Romo.

I hear you. I just hate to let a piece of what worked go for the unknown. I know it happens, players move on. I just think the chemistry is there with the four big pieces we have. Romo, Dez, Murray and Witten. And Murrays relationship with the Oline. Plus we don't even know if we got all Murray has to offer yet. I don't want him here if it's a cap busting deal either. I just thought the initial offer was a little low and hope they can negotiate to a friendly deal for all. If not find the next guy in the draft. Don't get older at RB.

Yeah I can agree with this. You make some great points. The only reason I wouldn't be totally against it, is because of the fact we could build on something(Chemistry ect) that we had last year with our core guys.

We talk Murray, Peterson, Gurley, and Gordon a lot.

But go youtube some Tevin Coleman highlights. Intriguing.

Don't love Gordon as much as I like Gurley. I'm really thinking Gurley goes early in the second round. Might not be a bad idea to trade out of the 1st and pick up an early 2nd if at all possible. Would be nice if we could get Gurley in the 2nd but it's a stretch for sure.

Would certainly be worth consideration based on how many of our former 2nd round picks haven't panned out

Outside of last year, injuries have been an issue w him

those injuries seemed to stem from lack of knowledge in how to prepare and to get his body ready for game day. He seems to have that figured out. Also, he seems to have figured out his fumbling issue.

I hated Murray coming out of college, cause of durability and cause I didn't fear or hate him. I am a UT fan, and I hated and feared Peterson. I felt confident with the Horns chances when Murray was running the ball. So when we drafted him, I was not pleased.

However, during his time in Dallas, I have grown to like him. The more we feed him, the hungrier he gets, and the more he seems to help the team. I want him back rin Big D. I don't want Peterson at all. Murray knows the offense and has a chemistry with Romo and the OL.

So, let him test the waters, but hopefully Jerrah will bring him back home when it is all said and done. I want him to be a Cowboy for at least the next 4-5 years.
